I was unfamiliar with Hwahae at first, but usually when something becomes trendy, a lot of similar products come out. But I ended up really liking it. I don't like products that are too thick and heavy, but this one isn't drying or overly rich. The scent isn't heavy or creamy either - it's a soothing cream that keeps my skin hydrated without feeling sticky. It may feel a bit drying in the evening, so I like to layer it with a more nourishing essence in the morning when I'm doing my makeup. The absorption is really fast, so a couple layers works well for me. As someone with dry skin, I've been able to build it up without any issues with breakouts, and I'll definitely be repurchasing.

It seems like it would be fine to place it in the office or restroom and use it frequently.

While Hwahae is good to use in the summer, it's not really necessary unless there's an event.

My sensitive skin on the palms is constantly going through cycles of severe and mild inflammation. The moisturizer I used to love suddenly got discontinued, so I tried a new one and had to visit the dermatologist again. It's itchy and stinging! Products that seem opaque definitely don't work for me. [Lesson learned] I should only use transparent, hydrating creams!

However, if your skin has become very thin due to laser treatments or if your skin barrier has been compromised, it may sting.

It has a clinical smell. It's like staring at an unfamiliar ceiling while lying in a hospital. It has a similar scent to something you'd have to recite. Unlike my friend, I have oily skin, so I use toner > moisturizer > lotion to keep moisture from evaporating, but this product stung a bit. And if you sleep with this on, it's like an oil explosion, so it could probably solve Korea's energy problems.

My friend with dry/atopic skin tried it on their face and said there were no issues and that it was good. It seems like it would work well for normal to dry skin.
