The fragrance was natural and not artificial, making it pleasant for cleansing. It lathered easily, which made it very convenient to use. As someone with super sensitive skin, I've tried various mugwort and vegan soaps, but this one definitely felt gentle, which I appreciated. After cleansing, my face felt soft and not dry, which was great. While I was very satisfied with almost everything else, starting from the fourth day of use, I developed two large, inflamed blemishes, so I couldn't continue using it. The feel, hydration, and many other aspects were satisfying, but it seems it just didn't suit my skin. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 23, 2022
Skin type: Combination, sensitive No major blemishes, but issues with pores, blackheads, and redness First impression: It's solid! I was worried the soap might soften quickly and become unusable, but after using it morning and night for just over a week, it's still maintaining its shape and firmness! Initially, the scent was neither here nor there, but it's not bad! I like that it's not overpowering. The cleansing effectiveness seems mild. I use it as a second cleanse or final step to refine my skin. Both a pro and a con: after cleansing, it doesn't leave your skin squeaky clean, but soft instead. While the lack of that squeaky-clean feeling might make you wonder if you've cleansed thoroughly, I love that it leaves my skin soft without any tightness! This is my first time trying a bar soap, and I'm satisfied overall. It's given me a good first impression of cleansing bars! After lathering the soap on my face, when I go to rinse, the water creates tiny bubbles that make cleansing a bit tricky. I've gotten used to it now, but it was surprising at first since I never experienced this with cleansing foams. The lather feels more powdery than rich...? Other than that, I don't have many complaints. Using a foam net might help create a richer lather! I just used my hands to create foam because I find maintaining a foam net a hassle. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinDec 23, 2022
I appreciate that they considered the environment from the packaging. After using it just twice, my face felt incredibly smooth and soft. The scent is pleasant and natural, not artificial. There's no irritation, and I haven't experienced any blemishes from using this soap. It lathers well, and while it might not have enough cleansing power to remove makeup, it's perfect for morning cleansing or on days when I'm not wearing makeup. It's great that this product offers antioxidant benefits, hydration, and even helps with dead skin cells removal. Overall, it's a wonderfully gentle product that works hard for your skin. The price point feels a bit high. They claim the half-moon shape prevents the soap from softening when stored upright, but I'm not entirely convinced. The bottom part that touches the surface has softened, and even the untouched areas seem less firm than initially. Also, the half-moon shape makes it somewhat awkward to lather in your hands. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinDec 21, 2022
- The scent is amazing! It's a must-buy. The fragrance is subtle yet strong, reminiscent of a natural herbal scent that's not overpowering. I really like it. - It lathers well even without a separate foam net. The foam is light, not as dense as a foam cleanser. - Being a soap, it gives that squeaky clean feeling, but it's better than a foam cleanser. It's like a moisturizing yet thorough cleanse? I use it all over except for my hair. - I appreciate that it's an eco-friendly product. - The half-moon shape is pretty. Due to the shelf in our bathroom, it creates a shadow making it look two-toned, which is quite nice. - The price is too high for me to consider purchasing it again. I wish eco-friendly products were more affordable. It would be great if it were in the lower price range, but the current price is too much... That's why I deducted one star. - Being soap, it tends to soften quickly and seems to get used up fast due to its soft nature. - For evening cleansing, it might be better to use this after an oil-based product. It doesn't completely remove all makeup. Maybe the products I use are just too stubborn to remove! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 20, 2022
With all the environmental concerns these days, I've really come to appreciate the Half Moon Soap even more. It's great that there's no worry about microplastics, and since it's not a tube cleanser, I feel good about practicing clean beauty. - Amazing scent: The fragrance is absolutely wonderful. I loved that it wasn't artificial, probably due to the wild magnolia and rosemary in the ingredients. - Mildly acidic: Being low pH, it seems gentle on the skin, so I had no hesitation using it as a morning cleanser. - Moisturizing finish: It's fantastic that my skin doesn't feel dry or tight after cleansing! - Non-irritating ingredients: As someone with super sensitive skin, I'm thrilled that it didn't cause any blemishes. - Rich lather: I loved how it produces a dense, abundant foam. It lathers up more generously than other foam cleansers. The only downside is that, being soap, it might get soggy if left in the bathroom, which is a bit disappointing. It lathers well just with hands, but using a bubble net makes the foam even more luxurious! I heard that keeping the round part facing down helps prevent it from getting too soft, as it reduces the contact area.
