The scent is really a mix of fig and earthy notes!!! It's not overly sweet, just a lovely fig aroma. To be more precise, it's like the scent of the base of a fig tree...? That's the best way to describe it!! The lingering fragrance is a cozy fig note. The ultimate winter fragrance... Even though I'm not a big fan of sweet scents, this one has a perfectly balanced sweet and heavy fig aroma. Being an eau de parfum, it lasts all day long. It's quite expensive... As a student, the price makes me hesitant to repurchase. Diptyque offers many of their fragrances in both eau de parfum and eau de toilette lines. When I sampled it in-store, the Philosykos eau de toilette had a lighter and sweeter scent. I recommend visiting the store to compare and choose the one you prefer.
