When my skin barrier was wrecked and my complexion was a mess, my mom gave it to me to try, and it brought my skin back to life instantly. At first, I was worried because it felt thick like an ointment and I thought it might make my skin oily, but those concerns were totally unfounded. It absorbs into the skin immediately upon application and works wonders under makeup. I've tried all the popular barrier creams out there, but they were often too greasy and seemed to make my skin worse. For example, products like L'Occitane's Shea Butter or Illiyoon's Ceramide Emulsion, and even Estée Lauder's Advanced Night Repair. The Zeroid Soothing Cream felt nice and fresh at first, but over time my skin would feel dry inside while oil built up on the surface. This cream, however, keeps my skin hydrated without excess oil, even hours after application. If your skin is in crisis, you absolutely must try this. I had great skin that suddenly went haywire, and I spent a year stressing out and burning through my money at Olive Young. After all that, this cream my mom gave me turned out to be the best thing ever.
ConsThere are no real downsides, except maybe the price? But it's truly worth it as my holy grail product. I hope it never gets discontinued. Oh, and I guess the texture is a bit thick.
TipFor best results, charge up your skin with toner or ampoule first, then apply this cream on top - it's a game-changer. Try it, I'm begging you! Also, for those with contact dermatitis, be careful with application since the formula is thick. Instead of rubbing it in vigorously, gently spread it over your face and then pat lightly to help it absorb. To make application easier, I layer The Lab by Blanc Doux toner three times, then mix this cream with equal parts Fusidin cream and Kobien Yucca Regenerating cream. The combination is seriously incredible. Please give it a shot!
