The centella mask pack from Daiso turned out to be surprisingly good (so much so that I thought I might not need to go to Olive Young). So I decided to try their fermented soybean one too. The essence texture is almost identical to the centella one - a moderately rich emulsion. Like the centella version, it's not too oily for those with combination skin, providing just the right amount of hydration for winter use. True to its 'fermented soybean' name, it feels slightly more slippery than the centella one when you finish applying, but it absorbs quickly when you pat it in, so it's not really bothersome. I didn't experience any blemishes like small bumps either. The sheet mask itself is made from bamboo-derived material with vegan certification, just like the ones sold at Olive Young. It's very soft and adheres well to the skin. It would have been even better with an eye bridge cut-out though! There's not much difference in how it feels compared to the centella one (it's just a matter of whether you prefer a slightly fresher finish or a more slippery, slightly more moisturizing one), so you can just choose whichever you're in the mood for. While the mask itself is a solid 4-star moisturizing pack, considering the accessibility of Daiso stores and the incredible value for money at just 1000 won, I feel compelled to give it 5 stars. With VT coming in, I'm a bit worried that Daiso's Botanical line might be losing ground. I hope it continues to thrive. Protect our Neri!
