Never start coloring from the roots (this area heats up quickly, leading to uneven coloring). Instead, section your hair with pins, starting from the innermost parts and working your way up. This method ensures a quicker process and more uniform color. Avoid washing your hair for at least a day before coloring - the natural oils help minimize damage and scalp irritation. Never use hot water when washing your hair post-coloring; use lukewarm water instead to prevent excessive color loss. The color tends to bleed for a while after dyeing, so it's best not to wash your hair for a day or two after coloring (this allows the color to penetrate the hair shaft for longer-lasting results). That's why weekends are perfect for coloring!

In June, I tried to tone down my bleached hair, but due to my carelessness in reading the fine print on the instructions, I ended up with unexpected 'Powerade-blue' hair. Even worse, my pale scalp didn't absorb any color. I bought two bottles, sealing one away forever. Recently, when my black dye faded to brown, I decided to give it another shot and finally achieved a khaki color! However, it's definitely more khaki than brown, so it glows quite green in sunlight. I don't recommend this for bleached or light hair, or for those who dislike standout colors - be cautious! Let me explain why I stressed 'uniform' hair earlier. I applied it to hair that had faded unevenly, with new black growth at the roots, resulting in the outcome you see in the photo. Make sure to even out your hair color first or proceed with caution. Also, I strongly advise against using this immediately after bleaching - it won't take, truly. Expect blue water when washing your hair for a while, so avoid white towels!

The color isn't overly vibrant, but a subtle khaki that looks beautiful when it catches the light, even on natural hair. If you have uniform hair color or brown tones, you'll see a soft, subtle seaweed-like hue (yes, like the seaweed we eat!). Being a foam, it's easier to apply than cream types, and the renewed version doesn't drip as much as before, which is great! Above all, the amount is surprisingly generous - one bottle was enough for my layered cut that falls just above the chest. Unless you have extremely thick hair, one bottle should suffice! I ended up with leftovers. For those with long hair, 1.5 bottles should be perfect, while those with thick, long hair might need exactly 2 bottles. There was minimal damage, and the color turned out nicely saturated.

If you're hoping for an ashy khaki shade, you won't achieve it with just one application of this dye.

I waited about 40 minutes with this natural-looking dark brown dye, and even without bleaching, it turned out beautifully - giving a matte brown effect in bright light. It's so easy to dye your hair by yourself with this product. I'm personally satisfied and plan to use a few more bottles!
