I've been into light brown hair for a while, so my hair was quite a light brown shade. I had it dyed dark brown at the salon several times, but the coloring was expensive and the dye would fade quickly. After washing my hair frequently, it would turn back to a light brown again. So I decided to try Mise-en-Scene Hello Bubble in Dark Ash! Color - The most important aspect of hair dye is the color, right? I have a warm skin tone, so I was torn between this and Dark Chocolate. But since my hair was already light, I worried a warm tone would fade to a reddish tint, so I deliberately chose a cool color. At first, it looks almost black with just a hint of ash. After 2-3 washes, you start to see more of the brown and ash tones coming through. The color is absolutely gorgeous! Check out the photos for reference. Longevity - It's been about two weeks since I dyed my hair, and the dark color is still going strong! I was worried it might fade quickly since my hair was originally light, but it's maintaining the color beautifully. Thoughtful extras - Mise-en-Scene is clearly a major brand, and it shows. The ziplock bag with instructions also includes gloves and a cape! While gloves are common with hair dye kits, including a cape is a thoughtful touch that really impressed me. If you're tired of your current hair color, considering toning down, or worried about warm tones, Dark Ash is absolutely beautiful! I hope my review is helpful. I only use Hello Bubble because it's the easiest to apply! Two boxes are enough even for long hair! The downside is that since it's a bubble dye, the color doesn't come out as vibrant as you might expect.
