There's a reason why the reviews are good. Haha. I have oily skin, and since I'm over 40, my skin looks dull and pores look bigger when I apply makeup. So it's better to keep it moisturized. I was worried it might be too shiny since I have extremely oily skin, but no need to worry. It has a nice, subtle glow, leaving my skin looking hydrated and healthy. The color also doesn't look too yellow, so it looks natural.
Cons

I've been using it for 2 years and I liked that there was no discoloration or darkening. It applied smoothly and moisturized, and after a few minutes, it gave a nice glow that made my skin look healthy. And it didn't get messy or flake off at the end, which I also liked.
Cons
A slight drawback is that the foundation seems to wear off the skin quite a bit as time passes, so the longevity was a bit disappointing.

It's the #1 foundation. This foundation is perfect for combination skin. When applied, it glides on smoothly and feels very moisturizing. And the best part is, even after several hours, there's hardly any breakdown and the skin appears to become more radiant over time. It's as if a glowing, dewy effect emerges on the skin.
Cons
There's really nothing disappointing about it. Haha It's truly a great item!! Haha

Since it's a bright 21 shade, I was hesitating between 2 and 1 as 2 has a more natural skin tone feel while 1 has a brighter look, but I ended up getting 1. My skin is extremely dry and sensitive, so matte formulas are just not usable for me. I've been searching for that glowy look, and while testing out the Clo products, I found that the Espoir one felt much more hydrating on my cheeks, so I decided to get it. My face doesn't have much oil, and when I came home from my fast-food job at 10pm, I noticed there was no greasiness...is this for real???? There is a slight darkening, maybe from being out for a long time, but the pores and unevenness are covered pretty well, though the coverage isn't super high. But it's fine when I use a concealer on top. I got it because I fell for the hydrating formula, and I actually like it even more when I use a damp sponge, as it makes it even more dewy. The staying power is good too, as there was no transfer when I wore a mask.
Cons
There seems to be a slight cakiness in the areas with skin troubles.

Skin type: Dry 1. Does it apply smoothly? -> YES 2. Does it have good coverage? -> ? 3. Does it not feel tight? ->YES 4. Is there no caking or flaking? -> ? 5. Are there no breakouts or allergic reactions? -> YES I evaluated based on the above and the comparison product is Clio Kill Cover. 1: Despite not being as runny as Clio, it still applied smoothly and moisturized. 3: Later on, it didn't become too dry or feel very tight.
