Since it contains glitter, I'm not sure if it's suitable for nighttime use, though some say it's fine. Personally, I only use it during the day before my makeup base. Also, if you apply makeup immediately after using this, you might experience some pilling. To avoid this, leave some time between application and makeup.

I've been using a sample of this product and I'm pleasantly surprised by how nourishing it is. On humid, rainy days, it's even good enough to use on its own. It contains very fine, subtle glitter that disappears when applied, leaving your skin smooth and refined (it gives a pore-minimizing effect). I didn't have high expectations since MAC is known more for makeup than skincare, but this serum's hydration and firming effects are on par with specialized skincare brands like Sum37. When I apply this before makeup, my foundation goes on smoothly and doesn't pill as much.

After applying this, you need to be careful when putting on foundation to avoid any pilling.

I have combination dehydrated skin with redness and super sensitive skin. I'm particularly vulnerable to oils, heavy oil textures, strong vitamins, and alcohol ingredients. Pores are a concern, but as I age, my skin's oiliness is decreasing and things seem to be improving naturally. My skin tends to break out when I apply sunscreen, so I'm looking for a non-allergenic one. So far, the recently released Hera blue tube sunscreen seems to suit me best! I'm the type whose lips react badly to Chanel and YSL lip products.

The product applies smoothly and has a lovely subtle scent. Rather than feeling like the foundation glides on exceptionally well, it gives the impression of adhering closely to the skin for a long time, creating a long-lasting effect.

I managed to snag this product when it was released as a set with the MAC foundation, fighting through the sold-out notices. I can't survive without this, except in summer! If you have dry skin and find that even moisturizing foundations don't sit well, give this a try. Using just a pea-sized amount, it lasts a long time and provides a lightweight, hydrated skin look without causing any blemishes.

As someone with oily skin, this isn't really a necessary product for me, so I didn't end up purchasing it. Rather than feeling hydrating, it feels excessive and heavy.

I tried out the samples I received. There seems to be a subtle difference in the sample sheet color, as if it's been slightly reformulated. The one I got earlier is on the left, and the later one is in the middle. Apart from the left one being a bit thinner, there's no major difference. It's hydrating and gives a nice glow.

I use it with the brush I bought together, and it applies beautifully. However, gently patting it in with your hands also works well, leaving your skin moisturized and supple. Since it's a hydrating type, make sure to let it absorb fully before applying other products to prevent pilling!

It's moisturizing and works well even without applying multiple other products. As it balances oil and moisture, your makeup stays put even after applying foundation!

The amount that comes out with one pump is small. With other brands' products, two pumps are enough to cover my face with a bit left over, but with this one, two pumps are slightly insufficient, yet three pumps are too much.

It doesn't stay sticky for long and provides definite hydration, so I mainly apply it in the morning.

The product seems to have a pearlescent effect, so I only use it when applying makeup.

The downside is its high price. Also, I've only used it in summer, so I'm not sure how it will perform in fall and winter.

Even in summer, I used to experience deep dryness after applying makeup, but this product has resolved that issue.

The scent is a bit overwhelming. It's that unpleasant cosmetic smell you'd rather not inhale. After discovering it contains pearl, I'm hesitant to use it as part of my nighttime routine.

It's just really so-so. I'm not sure about its pros or cons, but I bought it so I'm using it. Looking at other reviews, people mention it has pearl, but I didn't even realize there was pearl until I used about a third of it... haha!

I used the Mac Lightful C toner to set my skin, then applied one pump to each cheek.

In weather like this, I find that just one layer is enough to keep me moisturized, but if you get very dry in the winter, I would recommend purchasing and using the same line of cream together, which should work even better for you.

It becomes smooth as soon as you apply it, and the makeup applies well and does not become shiny, so the makeup does not break down due to oil and lasts a long time.
