But I wanted to try a chemical sunscreen that wouldn't cause breakouts, so I decided to give this one a shot. Usually, chemical sunscreens trigger blemishes on my skin, but thankfully this one is gentle enough that I've been using it without issues.
ConsPersonally, I noticed a somewhat unpleasant odor from the sunscreen. I'm not sure if it's just my bottle or a general issue. Apart from that, everything else about it was fine.
TipThe reviewer appreciates the gentleness of this chemical sunscreen, which is suitable for their sensitive combination dehydrated skin. They're pleased it doesn't cause blemishes like other chemical sunscreens they've tried. However, they mention an off-putting smell, though they're unsure if this is a widespread issue or specific to their product. Overall, they find the sunscreen satisfactory despite the scent concern.

With sunscreens that leave a white cast, you have to carefully apply them while looking in the mirror, but with this one, I can just quickly apply it on my way out - so convenient! I didn't use sunscreen much before, but since buying this at a pop-up store, I've been applying it much more frequently compared to before.
ConsSince it's fragrance-free without any particular scent, those who dislike the artificial emulsion smell might find it a bit off-putting.
TipFor those who want to use a brightening moisturizer but are hesitant to apply it thickly, try mixing it with a watery essence sunscreen! Alternatively, you could apply a layer of watery essence sunscreen first, then add a thin layer of brightening moisturizer on top - that works well too!

It's great that my skin doesn't feel dry even when I apply it right after an exfoliating toner. I also appreciate that I can put on my cushion foundation immediately after this essence sunscreen, which saves time on my makeup routine. The sunscreen itself feels gentle, so I've been using it regularly!
ConsThe scent is a bit like a mix of baby powder and emulsion, or maybe hand cream? Personally, the longer I smelled it, the more it made me feel unwell. Apart from this, I don't think there's anything else I'm particularly disappointed with!

ConsWhile it wasn't overly irritating, I did experience some mild sensitivity. There was also a slight feeling of dryness. The biggest letdown for me was the scent. Everything else was fine, but the fragrance might be a deal-breaker. I'll probably use it up on my arms when I go out this summer.

Cons- May be too rich for oily skin types, causing some shine - The scent while applying might be off-putting for some

The way it absorbs is truly like an emulsion! It's so light that you might wonder if you've applied enough sunscreen. I love that it doesn't cause any pilling when applied before makeup!
ConsI noticed it contains some ingredients to be cautious about! There's fragrance in it, and I actually found the scent quite unpleasant. As someone sensitive to fragrances, it was a bit bothersome when applying. Also, it really stings my eyes. Even when I try to avoid the eye area, it still causes a burning sensation. If I shed a tear, it's absolute torture... There's definitely significant eye irritation with this product.

The way it naturally brightens the complexion is also great.
ConsThere wasn't anything major, but I felt the scent was a bit disappointing.

I applied the sunscreen after using my emulsion at home. The texture feels hydrating and spreads easily, just like applying an emulsion. It leaves a moisturized feeling without any irritation, tightness, or dryness. There was absolutely no white cast. The ingredients are also gentle, which is great!
ConsIt has a bit of an artificial fragrance. When I wore a mask after applying it, the scent was quite bothersome to me. However, it probably won't be an issue for most people. Also, because it absorbs so well, I tend to apply more than necessary. Other than that, it was fine.
