So gentle on the skin! When my skin's acting up, even my usual foam cleanser can suddenly cause blemishes. That's when I went back to using Ivory soap from my childhood for both face and body. The blemishes disappeared and haven't come back, so I've been a loyal user ever since. By the way, I noticed the ingredient list here is slightly different from the current imported Ivory soap (update needed!). The signature Ivory fragrance is what I consider the quintessential 'American' scent. It's refreshing yet fragrant, and clean-smelling - a scent I never tire of even after 30+ years. I still love it! Great value too. It's amazing that this import with no harmful ingredients costs less than local soaps. Unlike cleansing foams or body washes that you can just squeeze out, you do have to deal with the inconvenience of lathering it up. While it doesn't leave your skin feeling silky smooth after cleansing, it lathers well in your hands. As long as you apply plenty of moisturizer to your face and body after washing, it's not a problem at all. I highly recommend this soap that focuses on basic cleansing for those like me who react to many cosmetic products. To preserve the fragrance, I store it in a sealed hygiene bag as shown in the photo. - ps***Dry SkinSensitive SkinNov 30, 2023
I bought this right away after hearing a YouTuber say it was gentle. They said it floats on water and has mild ingredients. Oh no! Even just washing my hands in winter makes dead skin cells appear. While it might be okay for oily skin, it seems soap isn't suitable for dry skin. I'd recommend a low pH foam cleanser instead.
