I have skin with numerous pores, excess oil, sensitivity to ingredients (especially stearic acid), dead skin cells, wrinkles, redness, and slight pigmentation. It's quite a combination! Oddly enough, my face tends to look a bit yellow. So I usually prefer sunscreens with a slight white cast and particularly enjoy using purple makeup bases to correct my complexion, as purple is complementary to yellow. However, the products I used to rely on had low SPF and most have been discontinued, so I've been on a nomadic testing journey for what feels like over a decade. Then I saw this purple sunscreen in the event application products...!!! I wanted to win this more than anything else. Usually I apply for multiple products, but this time I only applied for this one. Even if I hadn't won, I probably would have bought it for testing anyway. To summarize the review: It has everything - brightening, tone correction, smooth application, great finish, makeup-friendly, and a beautiful glow. The application is fantastic. This product applies smoothly with a moisturizing feel. It might seem a bit sticky at first, but if you wait a moment, it adheres well to the skin without feeling greasy. It's amazing how it leaves a pretty glow despite this! The white cast and tone correction are just right. It doesn't feel heavy or excessive like something is covering your skin, but rather makes your skin itself look clearer and brighter, as if you're not wearing anything. It doesn't clump on eyebrows either. It truly has the best application. Many products absorb quickly when they're too moisturizing, leading to quick darkening, which is disappointing for a base, but not this one. The color is also perfect. When you hear 'purple base', you might expect a dark purple that doesn't brighten much and only corrects tone, requiring additional brightening products (which can make your face feel thick and itchy). If it's too bright, it can look disconnected from your neck. This one is just right - a light pastel purple. There are many pink sunscreens on the market, but I love that this is purple. It makes your complexion look clear. Looking at the ingredients, I usually break out in small bumps immediately when a product contains stearic acid, and it's hard to find cosmetics without it. I bow deeply in gratitude for making this without that ingredient. I often avoid applying too much makeup base or sunscreen for fear of acne, but I can apply this generously. It absorbs well and feels comfortable on my skin. It doesn't sting even when applied near the eyes. Finish and makeup compatibility: Despite having extremely oily skin with lots of dead skin cells, I used to prefer products that gave an immediate powdery finish. However, with makeup bases and sunscreens, when the skin surface becomes powdery, most foundations applied on top tend to separate. Also, as it dries quickly, you need to spread it evenly and quickly... This sunscreen, while moisturizing when applied, leaves a fresh finish (not dry, more of a satin glow feel) as it settles, making the skin feel light. You can apply powdery base or color makeup on top without feeling like you're layering too much. It feels like you've only applied skincare. There's no feeling of excessive base making your skin feel thick. It really adheres well to problematic skin without pilling, and makeup applies beautifully on top. I just learned about UNIQUE, but I hope it becomes more famous. It might just work well for me, but I'm settling on this product. Please don't discontinue it!
ConsI'm not sure at which stage I should apply primers like Benefit's or Bona Medusa's to cover the large pores on my nose and butterfly zone. Also, since everyone has different preferences, those who want more noticeable tone correction or brightening might find this a bit lacking!
TipWhen applying makeup, try waiting a bit for this product to absorb after application. At first, you might think it looks a bit shiny (not sticky), but once it's absorbed, it creates a perfect surface for the next step of your routine.

ConsAfter using it for about two days, I noticed some blemishes around my chin. The scent, reminiscent of paraffin, felt a bit artificial and bothersome. Also, it's disappointing that it doesn't brighten the complexion.
TipThis would pair nicely with a matte foundation or cushion compact.

The application feels as moisturizing and smooth as applying an emulsion. Unlike other sunscreens that left my skin dry before makeup, this one eliminates that worry. It makes my skin feel firm without any heavy sensation. It suits my skin well, causing fewer blemishes than other products and doesn't feel suffocating. The scent is nearly fragrance-free. With its hydrating base, it's an excellent sunscreen for those with dry skin. After application, it gives a slight glow that makes your skin look healthier. I think this might become my holy grail product!
ConsFor me, there's really nothing to complain about, except maybe the lack of a brightening effect? Also, while it feels light and should wash off easily, I'm not sure about its long-lasting protection.

First off, the ingredients are really nice, and I loved how it applies much lighter than my previous sunscreen. While I often use foundation-free sunscreens in the hot summer, it's still convenient to have a sunscreen that focuses solely on its primary function without any tone-up effect, and this product fits that bill perfectly. Living up to its name as a hydrating sunscreen, it's incredibly moisturizing with excellent absorption. I appreciated that there's no white cast, making it easy for anyone to apply without any special technique. I was particularly impressed by the eco-friendly vibe of the packaging, starting with the cardboard box. The minimalist design of the product itself also appealed to me personally. This event introduced me to the Uique brand for the first time, and I'm considering purchasing the Biome Remedy Hydrating Sunscreen with my own money once I finish this one!
ConsIf you're expecting any skin-perfecting effects, you might be disappointed!

It absorbs exceptionally well with a truly lightweight texture. Almost no oiliness, and it spreads thinly and evenly without leaving any residue. It feels just like a hydrating moisturizer. The epitome of fragrance-free. While many sunscreens claim to be unscented, they often have a slight baby powder smell. This one is genuinely fragrance-free. Excellent for reapplication. You can layer it multiple times on bare skin without pilling or feeling heavy.
ConsIt doesn't have any brightening effect. There's no white cast, which is both a pro and a con.

But after seeing this product on YouTube, I decided to give it a try. It's completely different from any organic sunscreen I've used before! It's incredibly hydrating without any oiliness. The way it absorbs is fantastic!
ConsPersonally, I prefer sunscreens with brightening effects. Unfortunately, this one doesn't have any tone-evening properties, which is a bit disappointing.
