  It's not a water-based type, but contains salt granules. Personally, I'm not a fan because it's meant for the scalp, not the hair. If you're not careful while scrubbing, it can tangle the surrounding hair.

  The design is sleek and the cooling effect is great. I occasionally get blemishes on my scalp, so I tried this and it felt refreshing. It's not overly harsh or irritating, but pleasantly cool. It lathers up so well you might not even need a separate shampoo.

  Cons

  As it's a scalp product, it definitely makes the hair feel stiff. A conditioner is a must. Additionally, it's incredibly difficult to rinse out. I thought I had rinsed thoroughly, but after drying my hair, I scratched behind my ear and found scrub particles. The user experience is really poor. I plan to mix the remaining product with another shampoo to use it up.

  Tip

  Apply it to your scalp, lather up, and leave it on while you brush your teeth. You'll feel the cooling effect intensify, giving your scalp a thorough cleansing.
