When used, it forms a rich lather with very fine, soft bubbles that spread easily across the entire face. It has L'Occitane's Immortelle Divine line's signature subtle and pleasant soap scent, which I really enjoyed while using it. My skin tends to be quite dry, but there's minimal tightness after cleansing, suggesting it has decent hydration. The fact that I don't experience blemishes or excessive dead skin cells indicates it has good cleansing effectiveness too. I bought this product after a store recommendation while looking for a peeling or scrub product. They said it would dissolve dead skin cells and brighten the complexion. However, I'm not sure about either of those claims. Despite the fine foam particles, it doesn't seem to effectively care for sebum in the pores, which is disappointing. In that respect, it seems less effective at cleansing than my previous product (Sul**). If you have generally good skin, you might enjoy using this for a fragrant, pleasant cleansing ritual. However, I wouldn't recommend it for those with oily skin.
