The cleansing effectiveness seemed pretty good, and it lathered up nicely. I'm not sure if the cleansing power was too strong or if the ingredients didn't agree with my skin, but after using this, my skin completely broke out and I got a ton of tiny bumps and blemishes. It was awful!

Before using this, I had a ton of tiny bumps and my skin barrier was damaged from over-exfoliating with another brand's product. My face was all red and inflamed. I tried several other gentle, low pH cleansers, but they all stung my face. Even soothing creams hurt! This was the only cleanser that didn't irritate my skin at all. I had previously used over 3 bottles of the same line's red, slightly alkaline cleansing foam. It was great except for the lack of lather. This green cleansing gel, however, lathers well, doesn't irritate the skin, removes impurities effectively, and doesn't leave my skin feeling tight after washing! I'll probably repurchase it! It might work well for those with combination dehydrated or dry sensitive skin. For those with very oily skin, I'd recommend using this only for morning cleansing and using a slightly alkaline cleanser in the evening for better results! While it lathers decently just using your hands, using a foam maker or net from Daiso or Olive Young creates a rich lather that removes oil without irritation. It actually feels more hydrating this way. There's a noticeable difference compared to quickly lathering with your hands.
