I feel like the amount is a bit on the small side. For some reason, it seems like there's less product... like the tube is only half full? I'm a bit worried it might be discontinued, haha!

It applies smoothly and feels lightweight. I have a mugwort allergy, and I was surprised to find that Dr.G, which I had been using for a long time, had been reformulated to include mugwort. I stopped using it and went back to being a sunscreen nomad for a while. After checking the ingredients, I've been using this for over a year now. Despite having sensitive skin, I haven't experienced any blemishes, and it washes off easily. Having only used physical sunscreens before, I used to find it frustrating how stiffly they came off with cleansing water. This product, however, is less stubborn to remove. On the downside, I feel like it might come off a bit when I sweat (though that could be my imagination).

The standard 50ml size somehow feels a bit small, but that's probably just my imagination! Honestly, I'm struggling to find any real downsides.

This sunscreen has all the benefits of mineral sunscreens without any drawbacks. The rich texture applies incredibly smoothly, leaving no dryness or white cast. It keeps your skin hydrated all day long. While it doesn't offer tone correction or coverage, the slight oiliness gives a subtle glow that enhances your skin texture. Surprisingly, it washes off easily with just foam cleanser, no need for cleansing oil. I've probably tried at least 50 different sunscreens in my life, and this is easily one of the best. It's definitely going to be my go-to for the foreseeable future.

If you have super sensitive skin, avoid purchasing this product.

Despite the good ingredients and positive reviews, I was deeply disappointed. After application, my face felt slightly tingly, and itchiness developed over time. I tried to ignore it, but when I went to cleanse in the evening, my skin was already so irritated that even gentle touching caused intense stinging. It felt as if my skin had been completely stripped raw. The burning sensation was so severe that I immediately threw the product in the trash.

This sunscreen applies more smoothly than typical mineral sunscreens, gliding on like a cream. It provides a nice brightening effect, making your complexion look clear and healthy. I didn't experience any eye irritation.

I have small blemishes, so I'm very diligent with my skincare routine. It's especially important to focus on your base skincare when applying sunscreen. Before applying sunscreen, make sure to use a toner for hydration and soothing, and always use an acne-specific cream. Otherwise, you might break out more! (+ This is just a bit of extra info, but I switched from using my hands to apply toner to using toner packs, and my blemishes have definitely decreased. If you've been applying toner with your hands, try toner packs!)

(I've experienced eye irritation with every sunscreen I've tried, so I'm not sure if it's just me or if this really does cause irritation... In any case, my eyes kept tearing up 🥲)

I bought this sunscreen because of the great reviews, taking a chance (I've often had to toss products that didn't work for me despite good reviews). Here's what I found:
✔️ Slight white cast (gives a subtle brightening effect after application)
✔️ No greasy shine
✔️ Hair doesn't stick to face (only very minimally, like with regular skincare during daily activities)
✔️ No patchiness, pore-clogging, or clumping
✔️ Has a scent (I'm usually sensitive to smells and get migraines, so I typically hate sunscreen scents. This one has a fragrance, but it's not as strong as typical sunscreens. I can tolerate it. ⚠️ But beware of motion sickness if you apply it before getting in a car)
✔️ Moisturizing (To be honest, I haven't tried many sunscreens, so I'm not sure yet. I'll update my review after using it more)

May 23, 2024: Early summer has arrived~ Still using it without any blemishes!
It applies so evenly and densely, it feels like a shield on my face, effectively deflecting UV rays. I'm satisfied with its protection.
However, during peak summer in July-August, it might feel a bit heavy, so I might look for a more hydrating formula then.

With so many new sunscreen products these days, I'm curious about others too.
I'm interested in foundation-free options, but as a tip, I mix a bit of my trusty BB cream with this on the back of my hand for a foundation-free feel.
When I want a hybrid chemical/physical sunscreen, I first apply my organic chemical sunscreen and layer this product on top.

Comparing it to Dr. G Green Mild Up Sun, which I've used the most but don't use now: Dr. G feels more fluid with a stronger tone-up effect, and is slightly drier than Holika Holika. Comparing with mineral sunscreens I'm currently using well: Atopalm Zinc Sun has the most moisturizing oiliness. I'm From Rice and Holika Holika both give a white veil feeling, but Holika Holika is much lighter and doesn't clump. Mix:un Shield Fit has the most fluid texture, feeling like a combination of Atopalm and I'm From, with more residue than Holika Holika.

The tone-up effect is a bit weak for my taste, probably due to its thin texture. But it's recommendable for those who need mineral sunscreen but dislike the white cast. Holika Holika has many great skincare products - I hope they become well-known enough to avoid discontinuation.

No stickiness, no residue, no heaviness, no dryness, no eye irritation. Lasting power: 4/5, Moisturizing: 2/5, Tone correction: 2/5. Among the recent mineral sunscreens I've tried, this has the most pleasant feel. The light whipped cream-like texture adheres smoothly and cleanly without any skin discomfort. It creates a very light white veil without greasiness, and can be easily reapplied without clumping. No emphasis on dead skin cells or dryness. I'm very satisfied after using it for 4 days, over 8 hours each day, in windy outdoor conditions and dry indoor air-conditioned environments during the recent weather with big temperature fluctuations. Didn't notice any acne triggers.

Here are my criteria for choosing a sunscreen! 1. Chemical or Mineral? For my super sensitive skin, it's mineral all the way! 2. Ingredients & Fragrance: No fragrances that irritate my skin or affect my breathing, and no sensitive ingredients besides the essential sunscreen components (zinc oxide, butyl octyl salicylate). 3. Price & Brand: It should be from a popular brand that people use consistently, and the price shouldn't be too burdensome since it's a product for long-term use.

If you really dislike any white cast, you might want to reconsider. I love it because it acts like a brightening moisturizer, but if you absolutely can't stand any visible tint, you might want to opt for a chemical sunscreen instead. As someone who likes a bit of a white cast, I don't see any downsides!

My skin type is acne-prone, sensitive, and combination dehydrated. I've got all the challenging conditions... So I had to be really careful when choosing a sunscreen (see below for my selection criteria). While it's impossible to say there's no white cast, which is typical of mineral sunscreens, it felt less noticeable than others. It perfectly evened out my skin tone! The ingredients are fantastic, and it applies smoothly without irritating my super sensitive skin. When my oily face meets this sunscreen's properties, oil does surface after about 7 hours without touch-ups (I always get oily, so I always use powder). (For those with dry skin, you might find it doesn't transfer and isn't drying, even without powder). It seems to provide excellent UV protection! Not only did my face not tan, but my complexion gradually became clearer, making my skin look healthier (I know this sounds like an ad, but I'm just a Hwahae Tester who bought this with my own money). When I first opened it, the amount seemed small, but even applying a generous amount (about two finger-lengths for the face), it lasted quite a while! I used it on my face and neck for about a month. I'm just afraid it might be discontinued... so I'm stocking up!
