As someone with severe atopic dermatitis, I take it despite being male. I used to get prescribed evening primrose extract capsules, but it was inconvenient to get a prescription each time. My doctor said that as long as I take enough, there's not much difference, so I looked into various over-the-counter evening primrose extracts and bought this one as the price seemed reasonable. The best part is that it contains 300mg of gamma-linolenic acid and 127% of the daily recommended intake of vitamin E, which is quite good in terms of ingredients. Also, while it's a matter of personal preference, it comes in a container, making it more convenient to take than products individually wrapped in aluminum foil.
ConsHowever, compared to other brands' evening primrose extract products, the smell isn't very pleasant. It has a strong, pungent odor, similar to omega-3 supplements, which are known for their divisive smell. Those with sensitive noses should keep this in mind when considering a purchase.
TipIt's recommended to take it twice a day, morning and evening, which is how I'm consuming it.
