There's no set time for taking lutein, so it might be good to take one along with your other supplements. The slight fishy smell after taking it is a minor drawback. Also, the lack of dramatic effects could be seen as a downside, but then again, we don't usually take supplements expecting huge results, do we? I still recommend it.
