While it's said to be beneficial for pore management due to the squalane content, I honestly can't say I've noticed much difference in that regard. Also, you might need to be careful about it staining your pillowcase, likely due to the oil's color.

Having passed my 30s and recently becoming a nomad in search of retinol serums, I stumbled upon this oil product after receiving a recommendation. I decided to give it a try.

Although I was a bit concerned since I had already somewhat adapted to retinol, I mustered up the courage to purchase the 5% concentration. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the application wasn't as inconvenient as I had anticipated, despite it being an oil.

Initially, I applied it twice a week instead of daily, gradually increasing the frequency. The day after application, I noticed a visible improvement in my complexion, appearing noticeably brighter. While many reviews mention its benefits for pores, I personally found its effect on my overall complexion to be truly remarkable. It seemed particularly effective for brightening my skin tone.

I've been using tretinoin ointment regularly, but it was inconvenient having to deal with dead skin cells for a week after each use. This retinoid product is great because it addresses that drawback. It's a rare high-concentration formula, so I keep repurchasing it consistently.

If you have super sensitive skin, don't use this with AHA/BHA products.

I originally used The Ordinary's 1% Retinol, which I loved, so I decided to up the ante and repurchase! While the 1% Retinol is known for its strong effects and intense sensation, I heard that the Green Active 5% Retinoid offers powerful results with milder irritation. And it's so true! I've been avoiding the eye area when applying, but it's definitely less irritating. They say not to use it with AHA/BHA, but I do anyway... That's how I get my skin extra smooth!

Since I've only been using it 2-3 times a week, I haven't experienced any significant side effects yet.

Although I've only been using it for about a month, so there hasn't been a dramatic change, I've noticed my pores seem tighter and the fine lines around my eyes have slightly diminished.

While it's necessary to use consistently for antioxidant benefits, it's too early to claim any significant effects since I haven't been using it for long.

First off, it's non-irritating and despite being an oil, it feels wonderfully hydrating when applied. I was hesitant about retinol due to its harsh nature, but this retinoid is perfect for those with sensitive skin.

If retinol doesn't suit your skin, it can cause a reaction. Even for those who tolerate it well, it's important to start with a small amount and gradually increase usage.

When it comes to minimizing pores, nothing beats retinol-based products. Retinoids are less irritating but more effective, and The Ordinary's version is particularly affordable!
