Skin type: Dry & Combination skin Product texture: It has a consistency similar to a hydrating moisturizer with excellent absorption! It spreads smoothly and evenly on the skin. Brightening effect: I typically use shade 21 or porcelain foundation. This product gives a similar effect. While I'm not entirely sure about its brightening capabilities, I'm satisfied with the natural-looking complexion it provides! Scent: The fragrance is pleasant and inoffensive! Packaging: The clean, minimalist design aligns perfectly with its vegan claim, giving off a nice eco-friendly vibe that I really appreciate! If you're looking for significant brightening effects, this might not be the best choice. It provides more of a subtle, natural-looking glow! Thanks to its smooth application, I think it would be especially beneficial during the winter months! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 16, 2023
This was my first time trying vegan cosmetics, and I found it quite pleasant. The scent is mild, and it provides a natural brightening effect that's perfect for everyday use. After application, it leaves an oily residue on the surface and feels a bit sticky. If you don't apply powder separately, it seems like your face might attract every speck of dust in the vicinity. - Hwahae UserDry SkinMay 15, 2023
Hello, this is a review from The Hwahae Testers! I received this vegan brightening moisturizer with SPF through The Hwahae Testers program and I'm writing this review after using it. When I first used it, I was really satisfied with how smoothly it absorbed into my skin with a moisturizing feel! I often dislike sunscreens that feel too sticky, but this product absorbs well without any stickiness, which I found very satisfying! However, if you have oily skin, it might feel a bit rich. I liked that it's fragrance-free, so there's no irritating scent! It doesn't leave a white cast, provides a natural-looking even skin tone, and combines both sunscreen and brightening properties. It's perfect for when you're going bare-faced or need to wear a mask! While it does provide a natural-looking even skin tone, the change in complexion isn't very noticeable, which is a bit disappointing. You'll still need to use a base or cushion foundation. Although it didn't cause any blemishes, there is a slight shine, so you might need to pat it down with a cushion! - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 15, 2023
Texture: The consistency is quite emulsion-like, applying with a lovely moisturizing feel. Even compared to the notably hydrating Dal* sunscreen, this one feels even more nourishing. The color resembles a white emulsion with just a drop of BB cream mixed in. Thanks to this emulsion-like texture, it's perfect as the final step in your skincare routine and pairs wonderfully with matte base products. Scent: The fragrance is surprisingly pronounced. It has that distinct sunscreen aroma that lingers around your nose, similar to other oil-cut sunscreens on the market. This was a bit unexpected. Brightening effect: Due to its ultra-hydrating application, it leaves a translucent finish. While it doesn't offer much coverage, it provides a subtle brightening effect - about half a shade lighter with a touch of transparency. This makes it ideal for evening out your complexion before applying base makeup. As a result, it's great for applying on the neck area naturally and without any burden. Ingredients: The formula seems incredibly gentle. Upon application, it feels deeply hydrating as it absorbs into the skin. I even wore it under a mask and didn't experience any blemishes on my cheeks or chin. If you're expecting the level of brightening effect found in typical tone-up creams on the market, you might be a bit disappointed. Highly recommended as a hydrating sunscreen to use before applying matte base makeup for the upcoming summer season. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinMay 14, 2023
Since sunscreen is part of the basic skincare routine, if it applies dry, it can make makeup look patchy. However, this product has such a moisturizing formula that it absorbs beautifully. Once applied, it sinks right in without leaving any residue or pilling. I also love that it's nearly fragrance-free, without any unnecessary scents. The volume seems just right too. I always used to have leftover sunscreen, but this size is perfect. Although it's marketed as a brightening moisturizer, I can hardly notice any effect on evening my skin tone... - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 9, 2023
I have combination dehydrated skin with periodic blemishes. Recently, my skin has been dry, so I applied this after my usual skincare routine. I was surprised by how smoothly it went on and how moisturizing it felt. In fact, I could even skip my usual final moisturizer without feeling too dry. The scent is mild and inoffensive. I usually only use mineral sunscreens because chemical ones cause painful, inflamed blemishes, but while using this product, I didn't experience any major breakouts (just a few minor ones). After application, it gives a natural glow that makes my skin look healthy. The thin tube and lightweight formula make it easy to control the amount used. It's also comfortable to hold. As a bonus, using it now in November, it's even better. It shows more of a brightening effect than during hot and humid seasons, and it applies so smoothly that it's perfect under makeup. I'd recommend this sunscreen for dry seasons or for those with dry skin. The rich texture felt slightly excessive. It felt more like it was full of oils rather than hydration. After applying, hair sticks to your face terribly. Powder is a must! I had high hopes for the brightening effect, but it didn't deliver at all. If you're expecting the brightening effect of mineral sunscreens, think again - it just adds a glow to your natural skin tone. While cleansing, I felt a small blemish and tried to extract it, but it seemed like either the sunscreen had clogged my pores or the excess oil had caused more to surface compared to before. For those who only use mineral sunscreens, be aware that you might experience breakouts like I did. For those with similar skin types to mine, I recommend using only hydrating products in your base skincare routine before applying this. Also, be careful when applying foundation or concealer after this sunscreen, as it can easily cause pilling. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMay 9, 2023
As someone with dry skin, I was pleasantly surprised by how hydrating this sunscreen is. The texture is like an emulsion, which makes it apply smoothly. I find myself reaching for it constantly. It's perfect for quick application in the morning, and I've been using it daily since I got it! Despite frequent use, it doesn't leave a greasy finish. After a while, it even feels slightly powdery? I'm impressed in many ways. As for the scent, it has a typical sunscreen fragrance that isn't particularly bothersome. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to do much for evening skin tone. I was hoping for a brightening effect, but it didn't live up to my expectations in that regard.
