I didn't experience any blemishes and it's very gentle on the skin. It tends to pill like dead skin cells. So I don't use it when I'm wearing foundation or cushion. It seems to have slightly lower absorption and adherence. Also, I'm not sure if the volume is small, but I was disappointed to find it had already dried out a bit after only a few uses. You might want to try changing the puff.
