  Pros

  My skin was acting up, so I tried the "gum-like" mask and loved it. When I saw the Abib Houttuynia Cordata line was on sale, I decided to get the other two types as well. Turns out Abib has three different Houttuynia Cordata masks - the "gum-like" one, a gel mask, and a regular sheet mask. I was especially excited about the gel mask, thinking it would be less irritating than a sheet mask. And I was right - it didn't cause any irritation at all. After using it, my skin felt wonderfully hydrated. The gel texture is really nice - it's like a cool jelly on your face. The next day, I could definitely tell my skin was more soothed and calmed down.

  Cons

  Since my skin was already irritated, I did feel a slight tingling sensation. However, it didn't make things worse - actually, it helped reduce the irritation. The price could be a bit steep if it's not on sale, which might be a drawback for some. Also, after removing the mask, I'm not sure if it absorbed better than a sheet mask or if my skin felt drier, but there was hardly any essence left on my face to pat in. Usually, I like to massage in the remaining product after removing a mask, but there wasn't much left this time.

  Tip

  While this mask did calm my skin, overall I found the "gum-like" mask more satisfying to use. However, when it came to how soothed and calmed my skin looked the next day, both the gel mask and the "gum-like" mask performed equally well!

  Pros

  You can feel a cooling effect when you apply it. Other than that, there's not much else to praise...

  Cons

  First off, it doesn't adhere well to the skin. It keeps sliding down, so I had to reapply it two or three times, which is really annoying. But more importantly, it causes irritation. After removing the mask, my cheeks and chin area feel tingly with a burning sensation. I don't even have super sensitive skin and usually don't experience irritation easily. Looking at the ingredients list, there's nothing that should cause a reaction, so I'm baffled as to why it's irritating my skin.

  It's not worth the money, so let's try a different product!

  Pros

  The scent is subtle and not overpowering. It adheres well to the face.

  Cons

  As soon as I applied the mask, it started to itch and tingle. I removed it after just five minutes, but my face was already red. Even after washing, the redness persists. I didn't think there were any ingredients unsuitable for sensitive skin, but something clearly doesn't agree with me. It's still stinging.

  Tip

  If you have super sensitive skin, please do a patch test before using this product.
