I tried purchasing the recommended products from Daiso and the user experience was really good. These days, they talk about hydrating and glowing skin, but I found the feeling of my face being oily, sticky, and my hair getting stuck to it to be quite uncomfortable... I actually prefer a slightly drier, matte-like feel. This product has a bit of oiliness in its formulation, and when applied, it's not as matte but rather moisturizes well. But interestingly, after some time, it transforms into a completely matte and velvety finish. And even after a long time, the soft, powdery feel is maintained without breaking down. What's best is the price - it seems to have an unbeatable cost-effectiveness.
Cons
When I first removed the product's seal and squeezed it onto my hand, the oil (grease?) and formula seemed to separate, so I was a bit concerned about that. And the biggest disappointment for me was the color... Since my face is on the paler side, it turned out way, way, way too yellow when I applied it ㅎㅎㅎ, like I had jaundice or something... My face was yellow, but my neck was still white... I wouldn't recommend this to people with relatively fair skin. Pros
Lately, I've been hooked on Daiso's skincare products and have been buying all sorts of them. When I specifically wanted a foundation-free look, this one caught my eye and I immediately bought it. Applying it with a puff gives a really beautiful skin texture and matches my skin tone perfectly (the 23 shade matches my Estee Lauder Sand tone well). It makes my skin look beautifully radiant. It's not overly drying, has a subtle glow, and feels moisturized, but it's not too heavy for oily skin either~!~! I think I'll really enjoy using this in the winter as well.
Cons
The coverage isn't non-existent, but it's a bit light! You can use a concealer to cover any blemishes or dark spots one more time (the foundation-free look... may be meaningless?)
Tip
You can just dab it on with a puff, you know? After applying skincare and sunscreen, I've been using this puff to apply it. For other imperfections, I want to use a bullet brush and dab on some concealer in the areas I want to cover more. That really makes my skin look amazing ㅠ For the dark spots, I think the Dior Drop concealer or a concealer pencil would be a good recommendation.
