- Hydration game is strong - Apply it to your lips before bed in winter, and wake up to moisturized lips - Great value for money - They say you can apply it to your face, but I wouldn't recommend that - It's okay for elbows, knees, and anklebones though - au*****Combination SkinMay 27, 2025
Say goodbye to dryness! No wonder it's called Australia's national cream... The scent is pure petroleum jelly. The texture... it's almost like honey. Absorption is poor too. It really feels like applying ointment, just sitting on the skin - impossible to massage in for absorption. I wouldn't spend money on this... I tried it because I received it as a gift. Mine came in a jar, but a tube version might be better. While there's plenty of product, scooping it out doesn't seem very hygienic, especially given the large quantity. - he*******Dry SkinRecommendedMay 18, 2025
So far, it seems I've used about ten tubes of it! I've also given a lot of it as gifts to people around me. It's good to use on dry or cracked areas during the winter, and it's also good for applying to burns or wounds. Since my lips tend to get chapped, I mainly use it as a lip balm, and it's been the most effective lip product I've used so far. There were no disappointing points, but it was somewhat sensitive to temperature - melting in the summer and freezing in the winter. - bo****Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessRecommendedMay 1, 2025
A daily essential for everywhere! From face to hands and feet, I slather it all over The scent is a bit off-putting. I prefer unscented products, but still... It's fantastic for nail cuticles! I found it really helpful before and after doing my nails - ro*******Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedApr 19, 2025
This lip balm is so versatile and convenient! It's great for dry areas, insect bites, minor scratches, and burns - truly an all-purpose ointment. The product is called 'Ointment' and as described on the packaging, it can be applied to insect bites, wounds, and various other skin issues. While many use it as a lip balm, its benefits go far beyond that. It's almost a shame to use it only on lips because it's so effective for other purposes! *Personally, I find it more soothing for mosquito bites than any specialized mosquito bite cream* The simple red tube becomes more appealing the more you look at it. It's light, compact, and perfect for carrying in your bag or pocket. It's unfortunate that many Koreans use it primarily as a lip balm or apply it liberally to their face. The high oil content might make it challenging to use extensively on the face, and it's not recommended for those with oily skin, acne-prone skin, or blemishes. Many other brands have created similar 'paw paw' products, but **the ingredients differ.** In the past, we had to rely on Australian contacts or difficult international shipping to get it. While it's easier to find now, comparing prices and ingredients between brands can still be inconvenient. I'm puzzled why the ingredient list for the discontinued Lucas' Papaw ointment differs from the current product... It's almost a waste to use it solely as a face cream or lip balm. It's better utilized as an ointment. Of course, it's excellent as an emergency moisturizer for dry areas or as a portable solution. *It's absolutely fantastic for soothing itchy mosquito bites!* **Please note, it's not a complete healing ointment for open wounds! This is explained on the product as well: 'The ointment helps to relieve and cleanse'** **Many other brands have created similar 'paw paw' products, but the ingredients differ. It's worth comparing them.** - fi********Dry SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedFeb 13, 2025
This cream has a rich, brown-tinted texture with an oily scent. It feels like petroleum jelly. Just a small amount melts with your body heat and covers the skin nicely. When my skin feels dry, I mix it with my regular moisturizer as a sleeping mask. I also use it as a hand cream, and in winter, it works great as a lip balm. It's a versatile and safe product for multiple uses. While the scent isn't overpowering, it's not really to my liking. I wish it came in a smaller size option as well. Try applying it like a healing ointment over minor scratches or cuts to help with skin regeneration. - hy*****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedFeb 2, 2025
It definitely lives up to its reputation for effectiveness on dry areas! It's great for applying a small amount to chapped lips or cracked heels. However, it's extremely greasy and slippery. I wouldn't recommend it for those who dislike heavy or suffocating textures on their skin. - hj*****Normal SkinRecommendedDec 1, 2024
A friend who came back from a trip gave me this product to apply everywhere. I mainly use it on my lips, and it makes them feel so hydrated. The scent might be hit or miss for some people, and it could feel a bit heavy on the skin. - jh********Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesWrinkles/ElasticityDead Skin CellsRecommendedSep 1, 2024
Purchased the jar version. This is my winter savior! I apply it to my lips every night before bed, and since then, I haven't experienced any dead skin cells on my lips. It has a pleasant, rich yet non-greasy feel, making it easy to apply without hesitation. When I apply it to my dry, flaky hands before sleeping, the effect is spot-on when I wake up. Nothing compares to this product. The scent is sweetly pleasant without being artificial. I also apply it to minor cuts, but honestly, I'm not sure if there are any noticeable effects for that use. - wl*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRecommendedAug 31, 2024
I received this as a gift from someone who visited Australia, and now I understand why it's so popular! I use it daily, especially for cuticle care. I've been using it for almost half a year, and since you only need a small amount, the tube lasts forever! It's a bit too sticky to apply all over my hands at work - it makes using the mouse and keyboard tricky. However, when I apply it just around my nails, it keeps them moisturized all day long without feeling dry. Keep applying it consistently to dry areas like toenails and fingernails!
