I might have chosen one with too high a concentration from the start, as it stings quite a bit. Anyway, I was confident my non-sensitive skin would be fine, so I boldly experimented with various combinations (secretly, I even peeled my skin once when using it with retinol). Eventually, my skin became too irritated, so I significantly reduced the amount and now apply it gently to specific areas, depending on my skin's condition each day. The texture is water-like with no rich feeling. It pairs well with my slightly oily retinol product in terms of consistency.
ConsFirst, the value for money doesn't seem as good compared to other affordable brands. Strangely, I keep dropping this product more than others. When touched with product-coated hands, it becomes extremely slippery. Once, I had already opened the cap but dropped it, losing about half the ampoule. These are all personal disappointments.
TipThey say applying it right after toner gives the best absorption, but after trying that a few times, it was too irritating for me. So now I apply retinol > essence, then spot-treat with this product. Worried it might go bad if used for too long, I'm liberally applying it to my neck. I think I'm using more on my neck than on my face.
