My skin type is combination with a yellow undertone, around shade 21-22. I have thin skin with some acne scars that need coverage. First impression: Huxley's signature scent is pleasantly noticeable. I was drawn to the package when purchasing - the subtle, opaque case with gold lettering is absolutely gorgeous and satisfying. The formula feels stickier than typical cushions. The puff is thin and soft. The cushion itself is very squishy and easily pressed. The liquid is quite runny, so be careful not to oversaturate! For those with thin skin, this can lead to a slightly uneven look over time. Definitely control the amount and barely touch the puff to the cushion. There's a very slight cooling effect. The sticky, elastic texture can occasionally feel a bit heavy or itchy on the skin in summer. It's not as lightweight as some ultra-hydrating cushions, with a slight tackiness to the liquid. However, once blended well, it feels quite light! Works well even in summer, except on extremely hot days. The finish is very slightly matte - nothing transfers easily, and it doesn't feel drying. The shade is a bit lighter than 22, likely perfect for those who usually wear 21. No darkening over time, and while there's some oil breakthrough, it looks more like a natural glow than unflattering shine. Just be careful with application amount to avoid any patchiness. As mentioned, you really need to be careful with the amount used! The cushion is very soft and full of product, so pressing too hard can lead to a mess. Applying too much can make you look pale and cakey, which isn't flattering for the skin. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJul 3, 2024
Even with a thin application, it seems to beautifully enhance the skin. The color blends well with my complexion without any yellowish cast. With prolonged wear, it tends to look quite rich and oily. Reapplication can cause pilling, making touch-ups challenging. Apply very thinly and touch up frequently before it starts to feel too rich on the skin. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinFeb 7, 2024
The complexion it gives is beautiful. The color is so pretty that I want to keep using it. It applies thinly and evenly. It can still look patchy even after exfoliating. It fades as time passes. It settles into nose creases. The coverage is weak. It slightly emphasizes pores. A primer is essential. You really need to do your skincare routine thoroughly. In my case, I had to use exfoliating pads, serum, and emulsion to get decent results. Also, keep in mind it's cheaper if you buy it duty-free. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAug 14, 2023
It applies lightly and thinly, making it perfect for daily use When I occasionally had blemishes, it didn't cover them well, and it felt a bit too light for my complexion - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJul 7, 2023
First off, I'm a cushion enthusiast who prefers semi-matte finishes but can appreciate a semi-glow look as well. Here's my take on this product: Texture: True to Huxley's style, the formula is thin and hydrating. Adherence: Most importantly, the adherence is fantastic. Despite its moisture-rich formula, it clings to the skin beautifully. Finish: In the peak of summer, it gives a semi-matte finish. When I bought it around May, it had a dewy-matte finish - hydrated yet not overly shiny! Longevity: It held up well without touch-ups, showing minimal breakdown throughout the day. Color: As someone who uses shade 22, I was really pleased with how the Coral Sand brightened up my complexion. The only downside is the lower SPF rating. However, since I typically use a high SPF sunscreen underneath, it wasn't a big issue for me. The excellent performance of this cushion more than makes up for this minor drawback! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJun 25, 2023
The compact itself is thin, making it perfect for mini bags. The case is absolutely gorgeous, which lifts my mood just looking at it. The puff is large, soft, and applies product beautifully - it's a real gem. It applies incredibly thinly and adheres well to the skin, though the coverage isn't high, which might be hit or miss for some. If you're looking for a lightweight cushion that you can layer without caking in summer, this could be perfect for you. The sponge is quite flat and lacks firmness, so be careful as the product tends to gush out when you press it. Also, the cushion itself has a strong floral scent, possibly rose, which I personally dislike. I'm just not a fan of scented cushions in general. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJun 14, 2023
It applies thinly and moistly, yet adheres well even to pores, making your skin look naturally flawless. Perfect for achieving that 'clean girl' aesthetic. If you're looking for perfect coverage, this might not be for you. It's on the lighter side when it comes to coverage.
