  Pros

  As someone with thin, dry, and damaged curly hair from heat styling, plus an oily scalp prone to seborrheic dermatitis and folliculitis, I was looking for a gentle product with good ingredients, especially one without silicones. I've been disappointed by many treatments that claim to be scalp-friendly but still contain silicones. That's why I'm so satisfied with this product - it's silicone-free and has great ingredients overall. It's gentle and non-irritating, which I love, and leaves a nice finish when rinsed thoroughly. I'm thrilled that Dr.G released this in a 300ml size, as most silicone-free products with good ingredients come in smaller bottles. It's affordable too, especially when on sale or with promotions.

  Cons

  Silicone-free treatments often fall short in hair care compared to their silicone counterparts. Initially, this product seemed to satisfy both my oily scalp and dry, damaged hair with its moisturizing and caring properties, leading to multiple repurchases. However, the more I used it, the less impressed I became with its hair care and hydration. Suddenly, the middle and ends of my hair at the back became incredibly tangled and rough. I was shocked to experience this after using a treatment. While using the matching shampoo from the same line helps, there's barely any difference between using just the shampoo and using both the shampoo and treatment. The hydration feels somewhat improved, but I'm unlikely to repurchase it now.

  It seems to work well in combination with the shampoo from the same line.

  Pros

  First off, I don't have a particularly sensitive scalp - it's just a regular scalp! But if I don't wash my hair for a day, it does get itchy. What I loved about this product is that it's a treatment that cares for both the scalp and hair texture! It's cooling too, which makes it perfect for summer use, I think! It's passed sensitivity tests for the scalp, so I felt safe using it. I didn't experience any blemishes while using it either. When applying, I made sure to massage it thoroughly into my scalp after shampooing. The last photo shows my hair texture after washing and brushing.

  Cons

  The downside for me was the scent... it wasn't really my style. It's kind of like... a diffuser scent? The fragrance wasn't overpowering or long-lasting, but it just wasn't to my personal taste, which was a bit disappointing. Secondly, when it comes to hair texture, there was a bit of tangling, so I think it's best used just as a scalp treatment! Because of this, I had to deduct one star, unfortunately.

  Tip

  Since it's a scalp pack, I applied the treatment to my scalp and wore a shower cap, but I found that it actually cooled better without the cap! I've been alternating between this scalp treatment and my regular hair treatment, using one each day.
