While it's not specifically for acne calming, I recommend it as a basic soothing mask. Will repurchase! - Made with vegan, biodegradable bamboo fabric. Love that it's good for both the environment and skin! The sheet adheres well and doesn't fall off. - Fragrance-free, so it's not overwhelming. - Noticeably cools and lowers skin temperature. - Contains 85% of my favorite ingredients: Houttuynia Cordata (Heartleaf), Centella Asiatica, and Mugwort extracts. Light enough to help prevent breakouts. Seems just right for my age. - Provides a great boost of hydration. -> Combines all the features I want in a sheet mask, so I'm likely to buy it again. Not for winter, but great for spring and fall. - Absorbs well without feeling heavy. Suitable for any time, with no noticeable drawbacks.
Cons- Like any mask, daily use can cause irritation. - Lacks enough richness on its own. Doesn't feel oily, so don't leave it on for too long. Remove after 20 minutes, and once it's 80-100% absorbed, apply a thin layer of jojoba oil or cream. (This might be a downside for dry skin, but it's actually good for my combination dehydrated to oily skin) -> However, if your skin already has a lot of product on it, be careful when applying cream or oil to avoid irritation. Don't pat too hard for absorption, do it gently. I recommend following up with a cream or oil! - While it's a soothing mask, don't expect it to calm acne (you'd need tea tree ingredients for that)
TipAt first, I thought this alone would be enough, but it did feel a bit dry after full absorption! Apply a thin layer of cream or oil after this mask absorbs. Or mix a drop or two of oil with the remaining essence - it's amazing! - Avoid using on days when your skin feels particularly sensitive (any mask that provides intense hydration can be irritating in such cases)
