It doesn't separate over time, and even those with dry skin can use it comfortably! While not as hydrating as a dewy cushion, it's still quite moisturizing. I usually apply concealer before using cushion foundation, but when I used this product after concealer, it became increasingly matte as I applied it. At first, I thought I had made a mistake in my skincare routine... When I used the cushion without concealer, it actually applied better and looked great.
