Let's be honest, the only downside to department store cosmetics is usually just the price, right? Personally, I find this better than the brown bottle.

I've been using this for about 6 months, and I have sensitive dry skin. It absorbs well and has a great texture.

The strong alcohol scent was off-putting from the moment I dispensed it. The runny texture makes application a bit tricky. It contains 6 concerning ingredients, including PEG, BHT, and phenoxyethanol. What bothers me most is the unnecessary addition of colorants in a basic skincare product.

The essence has a thin, runny texture with a slight brown tint. It absorbs well and quickly, but doesn't feel like it's evaporating instantly. It leaves the skin feeling hydrated and nourished.

The price is a bit wicked... You can get it slightly cheaper with double mileage points or department store card discounts, but still.

I find this more concentrated than the brown bottle, and it's amazing to use! The difference between days when I apply it and when I don't is huge. I didn't notice any significant improvement in wrinkles or skin elasticity. However, since it maintains hydration well, it should help prevent new wrinkles from forming due to dryness.

Even 5 hours after application, there's a subtle Inner Glow radiating from your skin! This is the most noticeable effect. The lightweight texture and mild scent make it very pleasant to use. My mom, who's in her late 40s, tried it and loved how it left her skin hydrated without any deep dryness.
