But this led to severe deep dryness without any improvement in my skin condition. After watching countless skincare videos and realizing my skin barrier was damaged, I was diagnosed with perioral dermatitis at the dermatologist. That's when I understood the importance of choosing the right skincare products. After trying various products, I finally settled on this one as it eliminated my deep dryness and dead skin cells. I've been using it for years now. I've tried many gel cleansers, but this one seems to suit my skin best. Foam cleansers would leave my skin feeling tight and cracked, and other gel cleansers still left me feeling dry, but this product doesn't dry out my skin at all. My skin reacts sensitively to certain ingredients in cosmetics. If a product doesn't suit me, my perioral dermatitis flares up immediately. I've tried the Yonka line - cleansing milk, mist, and 15 - but they didn't work well for me. So far, this is the only product I've been able to stick with consistently.
ConsThe price is a bit steep, and having to double cleanse at night... the cost is definitely the biggest drawback.
TipRecommendedFor those with severe deep dryness and dead skin cells, avoid using exfoliants. Instead, focus on rebuilding a healthy skin barrier, starting with the right cleanser - it's crucial. For perioral dermatitis sufferers like me... I'm not sure if this applies to everyone, but we're advised to avoid active skincare products and high-intensity workouts that heat up the face. The dermatologist also mentioned that sleeping before 11 PM is best for the skin, so keep that in mind!
