  Pros

  Experience: I was trying retinol cream for the first time, so I started with small amounts, worried it might be too harsh! Since it's a firming cream, I mainly applied it to my forehead, around the eyes, and areas where I'm concerned about pores. As I used it, I found it wasn't irritating at all. Instead, my skin felt more 'bouncy'. So, I began applying it all over as the final step in my nighttime skincare routine. The next morning, I was thrilled with the results! My skin felt firmer, and my complexion looked more refined, which made me want to use it consistently. It was especially great because my eye area has been dry lately, causing my makeup to flake, but with this cream, my makeup went on smoothly. Texture: While the cream's texture isn't particularly unique, and it doesn't look super moisturizing when applied, it actually works wonders for deep hydration and combating dryness. I love that it's not greasy at all!

  Cons

  There wasn't anything particularly disappointing, but when I first smelled it, it had a whiskey-like scent. However, the scent dissipates quickly after application, so it wasn't bothersome at all.

  Tip

  I absolutely love that it's not a jar you have to dip your fingers into! This is my first time using this type of packaging, and it's so convenient - no product gets stuck under your nails!

  Pros

  Black carrots grown in the highlands of Jeju are said to be the richest in vitamin A among all carrots. The retinol cream is gentle, making it great for beginners. It might even be suitable for those with sensitive skin! I like that the black carrot cream comes in a tube with a narrow opening, which is hygienic. It's not too thick, so it comes out easily despite the narrow opening.

  Cons

  Since it's a retinol cream, you must apply sunscreen when using it during the day. That's why I only apply it at night when I'm at home. The scent is a bit like alcohol-soaked earth...? It's not great, but it dissipates quickly.

  Tip

  For those needing extra hydration in winter, try mixing in 1-2 drops of jojoba oil when applying!
