It's gentle enough for daily use, and doesn't leave my skin feeling overly tight or dry after cleansing, making it perfect for both morning and evening routines. The cleansing effectiveness is great too! The texture is similar to a standard cleansing foam, but it creates a rich, dense lather.

You might want to use this after an initial cleanse with an oil or makeup remover

Until now, I've done intense exfoliation once or twice a month, but with this product, that's no longer necessary. It's remarkable that they've created an alkaline cleanser gentle enough for daily use on sensitive skin. This is a very niche product. While there's definitely a need for it, it's not a mass-market item, which probably explains the lack of advertising. It's like a brand sensitive skin types discover after a long search... Although it's marketed for acne-prone and sensitive skin, it's likely more suitable for dry, acne-prone skin rather than oily, acne-prone skin. I've never encountered such a gentle alkaline cleanser before. To draw a comparison, it's like baby rice crackers in terms of gentleness (though allergens and potentially risky ingredients are present, the sensation is at this level). I'm giving it 4 stars for now because I haven't used it long-term yet. If it remains problem-free after finishing two bottles, it might deserve not just 5, but 10 stars!

Unlike other brands that try to stand out with special oils or natural herbs, Dr. Belmeur keeps it simple, avoiding harmful ingredients and including only what's necessary. For reference, AHA chemically exfoliates, BHA dissolves sebum, and PHA gently promotes cell turnover. In conclusion, this is the gentlest alkaline cleanser I've tried. The foam is rich, but it only removes surface sebum without clearing pores completely (which is typical for dry skin with narrow pores). I can alternate between the acidic and alkaline versions daily without issues. This product is truly designed for daily use on sensitive skin! While Doctorpad/Pad are trending in 2023-2024, I don't recommend exfoliating toners or pads for sensitive skin. If you want exfoliation, it's better in a cleanser. Toners and pads continue working for up to 10 hours until you wash again, which can thin sensitive skin over time. Cleansers, on the other hand, are only on the skin briefly, reducing potential issues even if they're stronger.

It seems to work well for exfoliating dead skin cells when used occasionally. But be careful - using it daily can leave your skin feeling dry!

Oh no, the ingredients... Why are there so many potentially pore-clogging ingredients?

I came to write a review after using two bottles of this foam cleanser because it's pretty good. For me, it worked well. I specifically bought it for that squeaky clean feeling, and it delivers. I use it every 3 days or in the evening when I'm dealing with a lot of blemishes.

Its strength is also its weakness - the cleansing effectiveness is quite mild. So on days when I wear makeup, this foam cleanser doesn't remove everything, and I have to use a different cleanser.

It's gentle. I have combination dehydrated skin that's sensitive, so if cleansers are too strong, my skin gets dry and blemishes appear. But this cleanser's mild cleansing effectiveness doesn't cause any blemishes.

I didn't find it irritating when I used it, but there are a few potentially irritating ingredients, so I recommend patch testing before use. Also, make sure to mix it well with water and create plenty of foam before applying! Applying it directly to your face might cause irritation.
