I used to just pat-pat-pat it on, but when I gently smoothed it along my skin texture and then lightly tapped, wow... it actually filled in my pores!!! It sets instantly, so my hair doesn't stick to it, and the coverage is absolutely amazing. I'm so impressed! While it's a matte cushion, so you need a solid skincare base to prevent tightness by evening, I'm satisfied that it doesn't break down into an oily mess. Just in case, I still carry my usual compact for touch-ups. When this runs out, I'm 200% certain I'll repurchase! I didn't experience any blemishes, but since it's a matte cushion, I wouldn't recommend it for dry skin... By afternoon, the skin feels a bit tight.
