The duration of use can vary greatly depending on whether you're dealing with surface or deep-set pigmentation. I'm on my nth repurchase because of its smooth application, gentle formula, and great ingredients. The surface pigmentation I had when I first started using it has disappeared, and I'm now working on the deeper spots. When you first start using it, it's better to apply a small amount as a test rather than slathering it on. Gradually increase the amount. This way, you can easily check if it suits your skin or not. While there weren't any major downsides, I did feel a bit frustrated about the small amount of essence left in the container that was hard to get out.
