  Pros

  After using the keratin mask, my hair becomes incredibly soft and silky. Even after blow-drying, it stays smooth and manageable.

  Cons

  I used it once a week for four weeks and then stopped. Every time I used it, my scalp broke out with blemishes. Even though I rinsed thoroughly after the final step, it was still difficult to manage because of how rich the product was. My hair felt heavy and greasy.

  Tip

  So I changed my method and started using it before shampooing! I now do the keratin mask, then shampoo (without conditioner), and my hair still feels soft. I much prefer this method. It reduces the heavy feeling in my hair. Now I use it once or twice a month, depending on my scalp condition.
