  Pros

  I've been using The Ordinary for about 3 weeks now. First off, the more I use it, the more visibly brighter my skin becomes. Its rich texture also creates a perfect base for makeup! Highly recommended!

  Cons

  The downside is that it feels a bit heavy when applying to the face. While it's not excessively sticky, as someone with combination skin, I was disappointed to wake up with some blemishes occasionally in the morning.

  Tip

  Apply it in the morning before your makeup routine, and your makeup will go on beautifully!

  Pros

  I've reordered this twice - it's even cheaper when you buy together! The citrus scent is so uplifting. It feels sticky at first, but once you pat it in, it absorbs completely. Layering other skincare on top works great. While it doesn't visibly erase dark spots or freckles, it gives an overall brightening effect. These days, I skip brightening moisturizer and go straight to makeup thanks to this.

  Cons

  There was an adjustment period at first with a burning sensation. Apparently, that can happen with Vitamin C products. Since my skin is sensitive to sunlight and even stove heat, I avoided using it during hot summer days.

  Tip

  I don't apply it when I'm planning outdoor activities. My face would feel hot while cooking dinner, so I suspect it's sensitive to heat. I make sure to apply it only after cooking in the evening. Also, don't rub it in - gently pat for absorption, and your skin will stay hydrated longer.

  Pros

  I felt like my blemishes were slightly reduced and my skin became more firm and elastic

  Cons

  It's too sticky and heavy, with a very oily feel. I don't think I could apply makeup after using this, except maybe before bed
