I've been using this product for 0.3 years after initially trying it for 1 day. There's a noticeable difference in my skin's glow when I wash my face the morning after using it compared to when I don't. I only apply a small amount around my eyes, and one bottle lasts me about 6 months. The price is quite steep for such a small amount. If it were a bit more affordable, I'd love to keep using it for a long time. This review highlights the product's effectiveness in enhancing skin glow, particularly around the eye area. The reviewer notes a visible difference with consistent use. However, the high price point is a significant drawback, potentially limiting long-term use for budget-conscious consumers. - zw******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJun 23, 2025
My 79-year-old mom always raves about this It absorbs well and she says the results come quickly It would be nice if IOPE sent more samples of their other products - su*****Normal SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedMay 13, 2025
I've been using the 0.1% to get my skin accustomed, and I bought the 0.3% specifically for use around my eyes and between my brows. As time goes by, I've become more concerned about fine lines and loss of elasticity around my eyes. The IOPE Retinol packaging is impressive, with a green cable tie for safety and a clean double-cap opening. I'm in my first week of using the 0.3%, so I haven't noticed significant changes yet. However, I trust this product with its stabilized 0.3% high-concentration retinol to be effective in improving wrinkles and pores. I compared the size with the 0.1% I'm currently using. At 30ml, it looks significantly larger in comparison. The 0.3% is only 20ml but comes with a hefty price tag. It's probably one of the most expensive options on the market. The unavoidable adjustment period is acceptable given the expected performance. As indicated on the product packaging, it's recommended to use a tiny amount every other evening after cleansing. Given that this is a high-concentration retinol product, be cautious of potential irritation. Apply a very small amount in the evening only, after your essence or serum, focusing on areas like under the eyes, between the brows, around the mouth, and nasolabial folds. In the morning, make sure to apply sunscreen as the final step of your skincare routine - this is absolutely crucial! - ky*****Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedMar 8, 2025
I've been using this consistently for two years now. I started with 0.1% to let my skin adapt to retinol. Now I apply 0.1% all over my face and 0.3% on areas where I'm concerned about wrinkles, like around the eyes. It seems to have slightly faded the wrinkles on my neck, so I plan to keep using it regularly. It takes a long time for the skin to adapt. You need to start with the 0.1% strength. I apply the 0.1% over larger areas and use the 0.3% as a spot treatment on areas that concern me more. - rl*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedJan 30, 2025
It absorbs well and has great absorption. That's why it's not uncomfortable to use. I don't think there were any major disappointments. It seems to suit my skin well. - st******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJan 23, 2025
It seems to be effective for improving wrinkles. I'll likely continue using it. The price is quite high considering the small amount you get. Even compared to other products, it's on the pricier side. - b9********Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJan 6, 2025
It absorbs beautifully, gliding on smoothly. I have combination dehydrated skin, and this feels wonderfully moisturizing, like a hydrating cream. I love that. IOPE's retinol products are famous for a reason! There's not much to dislike, honestly. If I had to nitpick, I'd say the quantity is a bit small and it's on the pricier side. But that's about it... It absorbs so well that I got carried away and applied too much, which irritated my skin. I guess that just shows how potent it is? Always looking on the bright side here! - yo******Normal SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedSep 2, 2024
The absorption and application were quite good. I switched from using 0.1, and it definitely feels a bit more firm now. When applied to areas with thin skin, it causes stinging and redness the next day. It seems to irritate the skin and even causes dead skin cells to flake off. Because of this, I can't use it often - only about once a week, and I need to take extra care of my skin the following days. Apply only a very small amount to areas with thin skin. - wi*********Dehydrated SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedJun 28, 2024
My skin used to be extremely dry but is now transitioning to combination dehydrated skin. I've heard retinol is essential, so I started using it at 42, albeit a bit late. I initially used IOPE 0.1%, and now I'm using this product. The IOPE product had an air-tight container, which gave it a more professional feel. Both when I first used the 0.1% and when I started this product, I experienced some tingling and blemishes during the first week. However, once I got past the adjustment phase, I now use retinol almost every night. I'd encourage those who are hesitant about retinol to give it a try. In the morning, my skin feels smoother, and I notice my eye area becoming firmer. The quantity is small for the price... What can you do? When it goes on sale, I have no choice but to stock up in advance. To avoid potential blemishes from excessive nourishment, I apply it generously around my eyes and use the remaining product on my nasolabial folds and forehead. - ma*******Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedApr 4, 2024
Usage: Currently using Repurchase intention: Absolutely This is a review of the IOPE Retinol Cream from a retinol devotee and lover. I'm currently using both IOPE Retinol Wrinkle Corrector 0.1% & 0.3%, and you can find reviews of other retinol creams I've used before in my review list! While 0.3% retinol might be excessive for someone in their 20s, I bought it because I have dry, thin skin and I'm increasingly concerned about wrinkles that have already formed. The 0.3% is for targeted care of problem areas, and IOPE consistently recommends using it only every other day. It's such a high concentration and potentially irritating product that most people my age probably don't need this level. 🔹Impressions after use 1. Since retinol is a potentially irritating ingredient, I gradually increased the concentration (0.045→0.1→0.3). However, I've never had adverse reactions to functional skincare ingredients (fermented ingredients, EGF&FGF, previous retinols, etc.). I was a bit worried about this high concentration, but as expected, I didn't experience any side effects like temporary flaking, tingling, or blemishes. 2. Although I've only recently started using the 0.3%, I feel like it's already having an effect on fine lines! I felt the 0.1% had a subtle effect after using it for over a year, so I'm even more excited about the potential results from the 0.3%!!! For the 0.3%, it's recommended to use it only on problem areas, not the entire face, and consistently every other day. So on the off days, I use the 0.1%. 3. Since retinol is sensitive to oxidation from oxygen and light, they've applied a 3-step oxygen barrier system to the packaging. I appreciate this attention to detail as it enhances the product quality! Although it's a bit pricey, I'll continue using it until a better product comes along. 🔹Texture It has a typical eye cream texture with an ivory color. Usually, higher concentrations of retinol (vitamin A) and vitamin C products tend to have a yellowish tint, but for some reason, the IOPE Retinol Wrinkle Corrector 0.3% is noticeably lighter in color compared to the 0.1%. I'm not sure why, but I'm sure there's a reason! It absorbs well and has a smooth application. 🔹Ingredients While there is one fragrance and one cautionary ingredient, overall, I'm extremely grateful for the formulation. I usually try to avoid cautionary ingredients in basic skincare products, but knowing the benefits of retinol and IOPE's technology, I'll use this for anti-aging. 🔹Price The price is burdensome...... Compared to the pre-renewal version, the regular price has increased by 5,000 won for the same 20ml size. 🔹Volume Volume: Compared to the 0.1%, the 0.3% comes in a 20ml size (while the 0.1% is 30ml), possibly due to the higher concentration being more prone to degradation (oxidation) from light or oxygen. Also, even though I purchased them around the same time, the 0.3% had a shorter expiration date. 🔹Concentration It's really disappointing that the 0.2% product has been discontinued without me ever trying it. The 0.3% is recommended for use only every other day, and the 0.1% feels a bit weak... IOPE, could you please bring back the 0.2%?
