Gentle and mild... The ingredients seem to be quite gentle. While it doesn't have any dramatic effects, it's still quite usable. Nothing particularly bad to mention. However, I wouldn't say it's exceptionally effective at combating dryness. It doesn't seem to completely eliminate dryness after application. I used it together with a hydrating moisturizer. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJan 29, 2024
This is a truly hydrating and gentle ampoule. You know how cacti retain water so well? It feels like I'm applying a watery cactus gel all over my face, but in a more fluid form, giving me that perfect moisture-locking sensation. The scent is almost non-existent, and while it has a slight viscosity, it spreads like a hydrating toner when applied. Many super-hydrating products can be slow to absorb, but this one sinks in quickly and stands up to heater air for at least half a day - it's a real reliable friend! Even when I feel I need extra hydration, layering this product is never too much. And with its brightening properties too, it feels like a gift - packed with benefits at such an affordable price. It just makes me happy! Overall, it's so good for the price that I can't find any reason not to recommend it. I have deep dryness, so I layer a lot. After my morning cleanse, I always mix in 2 drops of oil. This keeps me hydrated all day long! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 26, 2024
Recently my skin flared up, and for the first time in my life, my complexion took a turn for the worse. Blemishes started popping up, so I went to the dermatologist for extraction. When I applied this product afterward, it didn't sting at all, which was great. It's fragrance-free, colorless, and feels like a truly gentle product. The texture is somewhat thin - not very rich or creamy. Since it's a hyaluronic acid ampoule, I expected it to make my skin feel plump and deeply hydrated like other ampoules, but that wasn't quite the case. It gently hydrates, but for those with dry skin, it might feel a bit lacking. It's not a pure hydration ampoule; I felt it had a slight oiliness to it. I liked how it gave my skin a nice glow when applied. As someone with dry skin, hydration is crucial, but this wasn't as moisturizing as I had hoped, which was a bit disappointing. - Hwahae UserDry SkinJan 26, 2024
It absorbs quickly and well, leaving my skin feeling fresh after application! This would be great for those who dislike sticky textures or have oily to combination skin. It might also work well for dry skin types during summer. There's absolutely no irritation like blemishes or redness, and it's gentle enough for daily use - morning, evening, or before makeup. As someone with dry skin, on extremely dry days I find I need to layer it twice for sufficient hydration. To be honest, I recommend this more for daily use rather than for days when your skin needs extra care. I usually keep several skincare products on hand to match my skin's condition. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJan 26, 2024
I really liked that water wasn't the first ingredient on the list! It absorbs well, and even when layering, it doesn't feel heavy on the skin. It seems gentle on the skin too! The texture is somewhere between runny and watery. This product seems perfect for summer use! Everything's great, but it might be a bit too drying for those with dry skin! Since it can be drying, try applying a moisturizer for dry skin or a rich essence on top to boost hydration! - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 26, 2024
I've been using this for about 2 weeks based on The Hwahae Testers' reviews! I have combination skin that leans more towards dry in winter. My skin is also super sensitive, so if there's a lot of dust or something irritating, I immediately break out... It's the kind of skin that can't handle just anything! However, after applying this, I didn't experience any breakouts! It's gentle and non-irritating. The texture is like a runny gel, but it doesn't drip excessively. It's transparent and fragrance-free. It's incredibly hydrating! This week, with temperatures dropping below 10°F and the contrast between warm indoors and cold outdoors, my skin was itchy and dry. But after applying this, the dryness was significantly relieved! There was no pilling when I applied makeup or sunscreen over it. The dropper is a bit weak... Even when I squeeze hard, it only dispenses 3-4 drops before running out. While it provides a nice oil and moisture balance with its hydrating effect, it might feel a bit heavy during summer! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 26, 2024
As someone who really dislikes heavy products, this is perfect for daily use anytime. It feels like it's penetrating deep into the skin. I have combination dehydrated skin that gets dry but oily in the afternoon. With consistent use of this ampoule, I notice my skin becoming more hydrated while reducing oiliness. I have super sensitive skin that immediately reacts with blemishes and redness if a product is irritating or doesn't suit me, but this one seems gentle as it didn't cause any irritation or breakouts. It's an excellent lightweight ampoule. It doesn't last very long, so you need to reapply. It's good to use as a base layer. Looking at the ingredients, while hydration is mentioned, the concentration seems low, which might explain this. After skincare, I apply a layer of the ampoule. Once it absorbs, I apply another layer. When that absorbs, I apply a third layer. I keep layering until it takes longer to absorb, indicating the skin is saturated. Then I finish with an emulsion. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJan 26, 2024
I was lucky enough to be selected as one of The Hwahae Testers and used the product for 9 days straight after receiving it. I applied it generously morning and evening without holding back! The formula has a refreshing lemon color and while not completely watery, it has a slightly runny consistency - like a runny nose. This was great because I didn't have to rush to spread it before it dripped off my face. I'm not a fan of that typical cosmetic scent in skincare products, so I appreciated that this one is fragrance-free and didn't bother me at all. Being a vegan product made with ingredients suitable for sensitive skin, it felt really gentle. I didn't experience any blemishes from using this ampoule during the trial period. My skin type is slightly dry, tending to feel a bit tight in cold weather. But thanks to the prickly pear cactus extract providing hydration, I noticed my deep dryness significantly improved after applying this ampoule. It's not too oily, so I would layer it twice and finish with a light moisturizer before applying makeup. I never felt dry throughout the day with this routine. This seems perfect for those with super sensitive skin who also want to address deep dryness. The dropper was a bit stiff, so the ampoule didn't come up smoothly. I had to repeat the process a few times to cover my entire face, which was slightly inconvenient. As for pore reduction, I'd need to use it longer to see, but there wasn't any dramatic change. Then again, cosmetics aren't medicine, right? Maybe with consistent use, there might be some changes? Just the deep dryness relief function alone makes it worthwhile. Other than that, I didn't have any particular complaints. After cleansing and toning to even out my skin, I layered the ampoule two to three times. The formula absorbs quickly, so when I'm in a hurry, I can quickly layer it and finish with a light moisturizer. This allows for a smooth application of cushion or foundation without any pilling. However, if used alone, you might feel a bit dry after half a day, so make sure to combine it with a cream for best results. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 26, 2024
Texture and feel: It has a light, runny consistency that absorbs well. True to its hyaluronic nature, you feel instant hydration upon application. For my combination skin, it lasted all day in winter with just a light cream on top. Best of all, as the weather's gotten colder and indoor-outdoor temperature differences have caused some blemishes, this didn't sting at all and didn't worsen my skin issues. It's perfect for those seeking a truly gentle product that delivers excellent hydration! Among hyaluronic products, some can pill under makeup, but this one plays well with cosmetics. It feels like you've applied a hydrating serum before makeup, reducing dryness and helping makeup adhere better. Though I got to try this as part of The Hwahae Testers, I'd recommend it as a year-round serum. Scent: As someone with allergies who doesn't usually notice mild scents, this seems almost fragrance-free to me. I didn't find any particular downsides. The dropper packaging might be convenient for some and less so for others, depending on personal preference. It absorbs well without feeling rich, even when layered multiple times. For especially dry days, layering the serum multiple times can keep your skin hydrated without any deep dryness for longer periods. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinJan 25, 2024
As someone who constantly switches between hydrating serums, never feeling a big difference as I finish each bottle, I found this one to be quite impressive. It's gentle and non-irritating. Even after using an exfoliating gel, when most serums would sting, this one doesn't cause any tingling - which I absolutely love. The generous amount allows for liberal application. Though I didn't purchase it myself, the price seems to offer great value. To be honest, it doesn't absorb instantly, but it has a slightly viscous, runny texture. When you apply it under your eyes, it flows down to about your mouth before stopping. Still, for a hyaluronic acid product, it absorbs relatively quickly. Rather than feeling like it's forming a layer on top, it seems to penetrate deeply, making it great for layering multiple times. Perhaps due to its cactus-derived hydrating ingredients, it doesn't emphasize the typical drawbacks of hyaluronic acid serums (like stickiness or slow absorption) while still providing deep hydration. Overall, it's excellent! The dropper's squeeze part usually comes in two types: super soft or slightly firm. This one is on the firmer side, feeling more like PP than rubber. While it might offer better control over the amount dispensed, my inner peace craves the softer type. Other than that, I have no complaints about the product itself. Lately, I've been applying a layer of this to my face after finishing my skincare routine and before blow-drying my hair. It doesn't drip excessively and doesn't pill even with multiple applications, making it perfect for maintaining hydration.
