Honestly, I'm baffled... Why on earth does this lipstick turn my lips into a lifeless purple hue? The photo shows my lips starting to take on that purple tinge... It gets even more purple later on! Scent: Nothing particularly noticeable. Texture: It's somewhere between softly moisturizing and thick, but feels matte when applied. It's almost stiff, yet surprisingly hydrating when you put it on. Hydration: The moisture lasts quite a while, but because the formula is rather firm, it doesn't apply thickly in one go. You need to layer it, which can lead to product getting stuck between dead skin cells. It highlights flakiness a bit, yet feels moisturizing... Still, it's wearable if you exfoliate first. Other notes: I just can't understand why this product alone makes my lips turn purple over time, giving them a dull, bean-paste color. Even my actual plum-colored Mary Sod Plum Crunch and other plum-tinted products don't do this. It's like I've used a completely different product - my lip color just dies into this purple shade. I've never seen a lip product turn so purple before... Oddly enough, other shades in the Heart Jam Glow Lip line don't do this... So it must be an issue with this particular color...
ConsA strange product that's moisturizing yet emphasizes dead skin cells... Those with flaky lips should avoid it. While it's hydrating, the texture is firm, so if you have any flakiness, it will make it more noticeable.
