The absorption was great!
ConsDuring the changing seasons, with the increased fine dust, my face started tingling after not using it for a few days. At first, I applied it all over my face, but just to be safe, I reapplied a small amount only on my pores. It still caused too much tingling, so I had to stop using it...

Some retinol creams can be too harsh, causing skin reactions, but this one is gentle enough to use without worry. While it'll take consistent use to see wrinkle-reducing effects, after just a few days, my skin already feels smoother and improved, which I'm really happy about. The texture was easy to apply, and I appreciated that it doesn't have a strong scent.
ConsIt seemed slightly irritating around the eye area. The skin right next to my eyes became a bit red.
TipMake sure to avoid applying it around the eyes!

Since it's a wrinkle cream, I mixed a small amount with my existing eye cream. I was pleased to find my skin still felt hydrated even after waking up the next morning.
ConsBeing a rich cream packed with nutrients, it caused tiny bumps like millet seeds to appear on my forehead.
TipI've been using it as part of my nighttime skincare routine.

Even with weekly exfoliation, the effects are short-lived, leaving my skin texture in disarray. Texture: Not too thick, it feels like it forms a protective layer when applied. It's lightweight and easy to apply with a balanced oil content. Scent: Personally, I find the fragrance quite strong, reminiscent of shampoo, cosmetics, or perfume.
ConsI used it for three days, but experienced a tingling sensation upon application. The next day, my U-zone became extremely dry and eventually started itching. Since this was the only change in my skincare routine, I had to stop using it. I ended up visiting a dermatologist for prescription medication and ointment, which helped me recover. If you have super sensitive skin, a dry U-zone, or have experienced tingling sensations before, this product might not be suitable for you.

My current concerns: late 40s, sensitive and dry skin, fine lines under eyes and drooping eyelids. After using it for 3 days, I could feel my skin becoming firmer. My skin texture also improved. Despite containing retinol (0.05%), I didn't experience any redness.
ConsAs the saying goes, too much of a good thing can be bad. For the first week, I used just a pea-sized amount... But after a week, when I increased the amount slightly, my skin started to show signs of redness. If you have super sensitive skin like me, stick to using just a pea-sized amount. If redness occurs, apply your preferred regenerating cream (like Es** or La Roche P**) to help your skin recover before trying again.

My biggest concern was pores, followed by wrinkles. So I applied it to my forehead, T-zone, and around the nose. I applied it consecutively for the first 1-2 days, then every other day after that. I used small amounts each time. Improvement in fine lines: - Fine lines around my forehead and eyes improved. My forehead felt tighter. Improvement in small pores: - Smaller pores showed improvement compared to before. However, I still have some larger pores, so I think I need to use it consistently. Improved skin texture My skin became more firm and elastic.
ConsPimple on the nose: - I got greedy and ignored the adjustment period, applying it consecutively in the evenings for the first 1-2 days. This resulted in a large pimple. I noticed slight signs of it before applying on the evening of day 2. Red spots on the forehead: - Similarly, applying it consecutively for the first 1-2 days caused temporary red spots on day 2, but they disappeared the next day. I took a break on day 3 and then switched to applying every other day from day 4. After that, I didn't have any major issues! Somewhat high price: - It felt a bit expensive to me. This is just my subjective opinion since I'm new to retinol and haven't researched other products, so please take it with a grain of salt!
TipTips for using retinol: If you're new to retinol, start by applying a small amount to problem areas every other day or with a few days' break in between to allow your skin to adjust. (Adjust based on your individual skin condition) If you notice signs of pimples or slight itching, stop using the product immediately. Take at least a one to two-day break before reapplying. Personally, I'm satisfied! I might consider buying it again if I'm careful with my money and product usage. However, I'll probably compare it with other products and make a careful purchase decision.

The tube packaging allows for hygienic use.
ConsUnfortunately, I developed small blemishes after using this. I bought it hoping to reduce neck wrinkles, but it even caused blemishes on my neck. Also, the fragrance is overwhelmingly strong, which I find off-putting. To be honest, the effects are minimal, so I think it's better to use a different product instead.

Scent: As someone sensitive to fragrances, I find the subtle forest scent neither overpowering nor intense. It's likely to be universally appealing. Effects: This is my first time using a retinol product. While I didn't experience dramatic results in a short period as described, the pleasant texture made it easy to apply to problem areas (under-eye wrinkles, nasolabial folds, etc.). I noticed a temporary improvement in skin texture after application.
ConsExcited by the hype around retinol, I forgot about my super sensitive skin and applied it for about 4 days. Coinciding with seasonal changes, I'm now suffering from eye irritation and dry, wrinkled, stinging skin around my eyes. Unable to pinpoint the exact cause, I've stopped using the product. If you have sensitive skin, please, please patch test before use.
Tip* For first-time retinol users or those with sensitive skin, a patch test is strongly recommended before use. * The lightweight formula doesn't pill under makeup, making it suitable for both morning and evening application.

Reviews by The Hwahae Testers undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested.ProsMy skin type is combination - dry on the cheeks and slightly oily in the T-zone and forehead! I don't have super sensitive skin either. Texture: It's slightly thick with a bit of viscosity? When I first applied it to my face, I thought it had a nourishing cream-like texture! Feel: I expected it to be very rich, but it wasn't! It has a moderately thick feel? However, while it didn't affect other areas, I noticed some redness appearing on my cheeks.. I'm only applying it to areas where I'm concerned about wrinkles, like smile lines and neck wrinkles.
ConsScent: I'm sensitive to fragrances, and this product has a certain... distinctive cosmetic scent? It wasn't overpowering, but if you're extremely sensitive to scents or dislike the typical cosmetic fragrance, I wouldn't recommend it... I also wouldn't recommend it for those with very sensitive or delicate skin... It might just be me, but I experienced some redness on my cheeks. I'm trying to soothe it with products like houttuynia cordata, but it stings... It feels like an insect bite. Also, while I used it as part of The Hwahae Testers, the original price is quite high. Unless you're buying it solely for its functional benefits, it might be disappointing (to be honest). You won't see immediate improvements in pore elasticity or wrinkles after just one use. I think you need to use it consistently for 2-3 weeks to see results.
TipInstead of applying it all over your face, I recommend first testing it on the back of your hand, then applying it to areas where you're concerned about wrinkles, like smile lines, forehead, and neck. If that goes well, you can gently spread it over areas with visible pores for better results!

Scent: It has a subtle fragrance that most people would enjoy. I actually prefer this over unscented products or those with a typical 'cosmetic ingredient' smell. The mild, pleasant scent really appealed to me. Texture/Application: It's not overly rich, but has a nice consistency that absorbs well. The application is smooth, and I was pleasantly surprised by how well it hydrates and absorbs into the skin.
ConsThis was my first time using a retinol product, and I noticed some small blemishes appearing in the butterfly zone of my face. If you have super sensitive skin, it might be best to start with a tiny amount on specific areas and gradually increase usage over time.
