The texture is incredibly silky and smooth, gliding effortlessly onto the skin. It absorbs well without any sticky feeling, leaving a fresh finish while deeply hydrating the skin - I was satisfied every time I applied it. What's particularly great is that it lacks the typical heaviness or dullness of retinol products, making it suitable even for first-time users. It absorbs quickly, making it perfect for evening skincare routines. I'd recommend this to all skin types over 30 who are interested in improving elasticity and reducing wrinkles. However, those with super sensitive skin might want to introduce it gradually for better results.
Since it contains retinol, there might be slight tingling or redness on days when your skin is feeling sensitive. Especially for those with sensitive skin like mine, I recommend using it only in the evenings every 2-3 days initially, then increasing frequency as your skin adapts. Also, you might experience some dead skin cells or slight dryness in the beginning, so it's crucial to use a moisturizer alongside it. Those prone to blemishes or with sensitive skin should be cautious when first using it. If you're new to retinol, avoid using it before strong sun exposure in summer or ensure you apply sunscreen diligently. It's important to give your skin a break if your skin barrier feels compromised.
I use this ampoule only in my evening routine. Following the order of cleansing → calming toner → Retin-A ampoule → moisturizer allows it to absorb well without irritation, and I've been very satisfied with how noticeably smoother my complexion is the next morning. It's best to start with 2-3 times a week and gradually increase usage as your skin adapts. Due to retinol's nature, your skin may become more sensitive to UV rays, so it's essential to apply sunscreen thoroughly in the morning. Also, it's best to avoid using it alongside exfoliating or peeling products. Products that work well with this are creams with soothing ingredients or ceramide-based moisturizers. With consistent use, you can expect improvements in fine lines, making it recommendable for middle-aged and older individuals as well.

Is it because of the changing seasons? My skin's been going crazy lately. I have combination dehydrated skin, and I've been dealing with deep dryness and dead skin cells flaking off. Retinol has become super popular, so after watching a lot of YouTube videos, I discovered this product on Hwahae and decided to give it a try. To be honest, I'm writing this review after finishing the whole bottle, and it feels like a decent serum. The texture is great - not too heavy, not too light, just right in the middle! This is just my personal opinion, and everyone's experience can be different. If you're not sensitive to scents, you might even find it unscented.
The scent, the scent, the scent... It's really disappointing. These days, there are so many skincare products with nice fragrances, good textures, and effective results, so it's a bit of a letdown.
The formula gets a passing grade from me! It absorbs well and doesn't feel too rich. I probably won't repurchase it, but it might be worth buying when it's on sale. I've heard that Terralogic's eye cream is really good and effective, so I'm thinking of trying that next!
