Naturally brightens the complexion, making it perfect for daily use without feeling heavy! Adheres well to the skin and applies smoothly without clumping. Provides a tone-correcting effect without being excessive. Refines skin texture, giving an overall radiant appearance. Applies lightly with almost no sticky feeling! Best value-for-money brightening moisturizer! I use it a lot for my neck area. Nothing specific. Maybe if the ingredients were more skin-friendly? And the staying power doesn't seem to be very high. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMay 1, 2025
I've always been interested in brightening moisturizers due to my dull and uneven complexion, and I was truly satisfied after trying the Romand Rice Bran Tone-Up Cream! First off, I loved how it naturally brightened my skin. Instead of giving an artificial, floaty white cast, it perfectly matched my skin tone, making it look brighter and more vibrant. It was great how it made my skin look like it was naturally good to begin with. The adherence was also excellent. It clung to my skin without feeling heavy or suffocating, and didn't lift or break down for a long time. Applying it in the morning kept the brightening effect lasting until the afternoon, which was convenient as I didn't need to touch up often. I can't forget to mention how moisturizing it felt. As someone with dry skin, matte products don't usually work for me, but this one felt hydrating upon application and didn't feel dry even after hours. It even added a subtle glow, making my skin look healthier and more radiant. Those who prioritize coverage might find this slightly disappointing. While it excels in evening out skin tone, it doesn't completely conceal blemishes or redness. Of course, I prefer a natural look, so this level of coverage was perfect for me, but if you want more complete coverage, you might want to use a concealer along with it. Also, if you're sensitive to fragrances, you might want to test it first. It has a subtle floral scent, which I personally liked, but it could be a matter of personal preference. I've been using this product as a makeup base. After applying the brightening moisturizer to even out my skin tone, I lightly apply foundation, which seems to improve makeup adherence and longevity. Also, when I want light makeup, it's great that I can just apply this product alone and still look naturally beautiful. Overall, the Romand Rice Bran Tone-Up Cream boasts a natural brightening effect and a moisturizing feel. I highly recommend it for those who prefer a bare-faced makeup look or want to lightly correct their skin tone! However, if coverage is important to you, you might want to keep this in mind. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinApr 27, 2025
It naturally brightens the skin. I mainly apply it on my neck, though it does feel a bit rich. Due to its rich texture, it can feel sticky when it's hot. Sometimes I wake up with a few blemishes the next day. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinApr 23, 2025
I bought this around mid-2024 and it's been fantastic. It really brightens my complexion and evens my skin tone beautifully. It's especially great on arms and legs, where it absorbs naturally. The hydration in this product is a game-changer - there's no dryness after application. It's perfect for a quick moisturize after a shower. The one downside is that it tends to pill a bit. When you keep rubbing it in, instead of smoothing out, it forms little clumps that you have to scrape off with something hard like a fingernail. This pilling is particularly noticeable when applied to areas with wrinkles. For best results, I've found that applying an aloe hydration emulsion first, then immediately following with this moisturizer, really helps it absorb well. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinApr 22, 2025
This product is my go-to when my skin looks dull or when I need a quick brightening boost! It gives a natural brightening effect, making it perfect for a light application before makeup. It doesn't leave your skin looking overly white, but instead finishes with a moisturized feel, making it great for daily use without any worries. Of course, right after application, you might think it looks a bit white, but as time passes, it allows for a natural skin appearance. As someone with combination dehydrated and super sensitive skin, I was most impressed that I could use this without any irritation or additional blemishes! However, one slight drawback I noticed while using it is that on days when I sweat a lot, the product seems to come off in certain areas. Also, it feels a bit sticky when applied, so those who are sensitive to stickiness might want to consider this before purchasing. If you prefer a matte finish over a glowy complexion, try applying a small amount with a powder brush. (Using a cushion puff with too much powder at once can lead to clumping, so always layer it on in small amounts for the best results.) - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 28, 2025
I have really dark skin, around shade 25, but this brightening moisturizer evens my skin tone more naturally than the photo shows. It's hydrating and absorbs well. It seems to adhere nicely without looking cakey. I even rubbed it against dark clothing, and it didn't transfer! The lid was a bit disappointing. Even though I closed it tightly, it still leaked a little. - Hwahae UserDry SkinFeb 25, 2025
The brightening effect is really impressive, almost too much for my liking as it makes my skin so fair that I hesitate to use it often. The texture is incredibly smooth, like an emulsion, and it absorbs beautifully into the skin. Unfortunately, blemishes appeared immediately after application, so I can't use it on my face. I'm using it on my body instead! I don't usually have super sensitive skin, but this seems to be a case of 'your mileage may vary'. I've found that mixing this product with sunscreen and applying it to my body gives a nice, subtle brightening effect that works well. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinFeb 25, 2025
It naturally brightens and evens skin tone, without looking cakey even when applied without a base. It seems suitable for dry skin types to apply lightly. It has an emulsion-like texture rather than a cream, making it easy to spread and adhere well to the skin. It's disappointing that it doesn't have sun protection. Although it's a brightening moisturizer, the need for double cleansing might be inconvenient for some. For better adherence, try applying it with a damp flower-shaped puff from Daiso. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 22, 2025
It's been about a week now. Wow, I'm really impressed! When I apply it, it gives such a natural brightening effect without any cakey feeling. It's amazing. I've tried various brightening moisturizers before, but this one is different. It even covers blemishes to some extent, which is great. I definitely want to use it again! I was told that the longer you use it, the more the brightening effect increases, eventually making your whole face lighter. However, I haven't seen those results yet, which is a bit disappointing. After cleansing your face evenly, applying it with a cushion puff makes it look much more even and natural! Whether you pat it in or gently spread it, both methods work well! - Hwahae UserDry SkinFeb 12, 2025
I love how moisturizing it is! It naturally brightens my face, which is great. The quantity and adherence are pretty good for the price. While it doesn't offer much coverage, it did slightly lighten my mild dark spots. In my experience, if I only apply this, my skin feels too dry later. So I have to use a richer sunscreen underneath, then apply this. Also, remember it only brightens and doesn't provide sun protection. There's also a bit of darkening. If you apply this over a richer sunscreen, it creates a nice glow. It looks really beautiful then.
