The dry weather was causing blemishes to pop up, which was really stressing me out. The package contents were excellent! Since I didn't have toner, I mixed it with water. I adjusted the mask-to-water ratio to about 1:1, keeping an eye on the consistency. I read online that it shouldn't be too thick, so I aimed for a 50:45 ratio. You want to avoid it being too runny or too thick when applying it to your face! As soon as I applied it, I felt an amazing cooling sensation. The amount is generous - you can really slather it on until you can't see your skin underneath. The cooling effect is no joke, it felt incredibly refreshing. I read on a blog that applying it thinly makes it harder to peel off, so I applied it thickly. As a result, it peeled off very easily and cleanly when it was time to remove it. The cooling sensation is incredible. After peeling it off, my skin felt so hydrated. It was also very convenient how easily it came off. This mask seems great for soothing the skin!
ConsThe only downside might be figuring out the right amount of liquid to add. Whether you're using toner or water, you can't add too much or too little. There are markings to guide you, so you should be able to adjust it properly. Also, it might be a good idea to wear a headband to keep it out of your hair. Other than that, I really loved it!
TipApply it thickly - that way it peels off easily like a magnet!

I love how it makes my skin feel hydrated, and there's absolutely no irritation. It doesn't drip, so I can apply it by myself without any trouble. Even if I take my time, the product doesn't dry out, which makes it incredibly convenient to use. I'm really impressed!
ConsThere's honestly nothing to complain about with this product. It's genuinely so user-friendly!

At first, I thought the issue with modeling masks was water control, but I've found that each product has a slightly different texture. This one doesn't drip and is easy to apply. I'm alternating between this and the Tea Tree version. The Tea Tree has a better cooling effect, but this One Thing mask seems to be more nourishing and absorbs better.
ConsUnlike other brands that include a bowl and brush with the product, you have to purchase these separately here.

ConsPerhaps because the powder is so fine, it takes much longer to blend compared to Lindsay's product
TipIt becomes more hydrating when mixed with a few drops of One Thing Skin or your favorite ampoule

Packaging First off, I love how clean the packaging is, and the mask applicator is of good quality. The applicator is made of soft rubber, which helps mix the product well and doesn't drip as much as other brands' tools. Plus, the individual packaging makes it hygienic and easy to use. Just a heads up though, if you don't clean it right away, it hardens and becomes really tough to remove. 2. Texture Compared to other products, it feels more hydrating. While the moisture level can vary depending on how much water is used during mixing, the product itself is moisturizing and doesn't dry out as quickly. 3. Effectiveness Houttuynia cordata is known for its soothing properties, and this product seems to focus on that calming effect. The combination of Houttuynia cordata and diatomaceous earth leaves your skin feeling clearer after use. However, I found the cooling effect to be better in other brands' products, and it doesn't seem to target pores as much. It might be more effective for those dealing with skin inflammation or redness! But I do think Houttuynia cordata itself does help in brightening the skin after use. 4. Price It's a bit on the pricey side... But if Houttuynia cordata works well for you, it might be worth it despite lacking in other features! 5. I've only used it once so far, so I'll update after consistent use.
ConsAs mentioned earlier, it seems more effective for reducing skin inflammation and redness rather than pore care. It's disappointing that it doesn't have a direct effect on sebum control or pore improvement.

I loved that One Thing comes in single-use packaging, allowing me to use it right away without worrying about the quantity! For me, a 1:0.8 ratio instead of 1:1 was perfect - it didn't drip when applying and had just the right consistency. ✔️ Effective Soothing When my face felt hot, using it for about 15-20 minutes provided a cooling and calming effect. ✔️ Fine Particles The downside of modeling masks is... having to blend them, and with other products, powder clumps often don't dissolve well. One Thing's Houttuynia Cordata has such fine particles that clumps rarely form, and even if they do, they dissolve quickly!
Cons✔️ Spatula The package came with modeling powder, a mask bowl, and a spatula. The included spatula had a curved shape instead of being straight, which was great for applying to the face. The downside is that the spatula is too small, so a lot of product gets on your hands when applying. The design shape is good, but I wish it was a bit larger. ✔️ Blemishes Since I have blemish-prone skin, I was hoping it might help with calming blemishes... but it didn't have that effect! It was good for soothing heat, though. ✔️ Hydration Usually, when I remove a modeling mask after applying plenty of serum, my skin always feels moisturized, but One Thing wasn't as hydrating as I expected. It seems to lock in moisture moderately. This aspect was a bit disappointing. ✔️ Amount When I used it, the amount was just right for applying a thick layer quickly, but when other family members used it, it felt insufficient. This varies from person to person, so it can't be helped, but it's a drawback of individually packaged products...
TipIf you find it difficult to adjust the water, start by adding a little at a time, and if it's too thick, you can thin it out with aloe vera soothing gel! I highly recommend this method! A skincare professional shared this tip: rather than mixing serum or ampoule into the modeling mask, it's more effective to apply them generously to your face before putting on the basic modeling mask! Instead of stirring the mask 360 degrees, try holding the mask bowl with one hand and mixing quickly from side to side horizontally - it's faster to prepare this way!

Each pack was individually portioned, making it convenient to use. The redness-calming effect was excellent. At first, I wasn't sure how much water to add, so it turned out a bit thin, but it didn't drip when applied, which was great.
ConsI prefer to use about two scoops for a thick mask, but the amount in each pack seemed a bit small, which was disappointing. I wish I could control the quantity myself. It looked like just one scoop per pack. Also, apart from a temporary cooling sensation when applying, I didn't feel any lasting cooling effect.

Usually, wash-off masks require cleansing afterwards, but I really appreciated that this one can be removed in one go without additional washing. What's impressive is that even without extra care after masking, the hydration lasted for days. It seems perfect for busy days. The ability to customize the mix according to your preferences was also a nice touch. As long as you get the consistency right, it doesn't drip no matter what you mix in, which is great.
ConsFor a product you apply, it felt surprisingly cool. I usually avoid sheet masks in colder weather because they're chilly, so I tend to use wash-off types. However, this product seems more suitable for summer use. The box instructions said to mix powder and water 1:1, so I initially tried 20g powder with 20ml water, but it was too thick. About 50ml of water per pack seemed just right. I later noticed this tip on Hwahae - I wish I had seen it earlier.
TipIt sets faster than expected, so when mixing, it's best to add the water or essence all at once at the end for better results.

You know how scented products can be hit or miss, right? But with this, there's no scent at all, which made it really comfortable to use. Even though it feels thinner compared to other brands, it doesn't just run down your face. When it's time to peel it off, it comes off in one go, leaving less residue behind. Big thumbs up for that! I'm not sure about its sebum-absorbing abilities, but my skin feels firm, clean, and refreshed afterwards. It refines my skin texture while brightening it up! The package design is prettier compared to other modeling masks. Though the green packaging... well, it kind of reminds me of those Italian exfoliating towels, haha!
ConsEach pack is 20g, but since I have a larger face, I found it wasn't enough. The first time I used just one pack, but the second time I had to open another half pack to cover my whole face. I think 30g would be perfect, or at least 25g. The current single-pack volume is a bit disappointing. I've tried various modeling masks and I've been keeping an eye on The Hwahae Testers' products, but honestly, I hesitated because of the price. I think consumers would prefer if they sold single-use packs at Olive Young so we could try it before committing to the 1kg size. About the rubber bowl... well, as someone who owns various types of rubber bowls, the one provided by The Hwahae Testers isn't great (sorry!). The spatula is also... let's not even go there. The rubber bowl came squished in a ziplock bag and didn't regain its shape even after two days. It feels like it might contain some LDPE material or about 10% plastic instead of being pure silicone. The bowl is a bit disappointing. Also, after using the mask, the residue left on the rubber bowl is really hard to clean off with wet wipes once it's dried. With other brands, even after some time, you can easily wipe it off and it peels away like rubber. With The Hwahae Testers' modeling mask, you need to clean the bowl immediately after applying the mask to your face. Otherwise, it sticks to the bowl and becomes hard to remove. It's inconvenient when you just want to lie down right after applying the mask.
TipI recommend this as a gentle, daily-use mask that won't irritate your skin. By the way, I saw the 1kg bulk size being sold at the Myeongdong Olive Young store.
