My skin type is combination dry, sensitive, and acne-prone, with periodic flare-ups. The product is a thin jelly-like pad (similar to the Licorice Pad from It's Skin) that is well-saturated with essence. The effects were excellent. I'm not sure if it's the maximizing effect of this type of pad or the essence ingredients that worked so well, but I had great results with the Licorice Pad before, and this pad also performed exceptionally well in calming my breakouts. Applying the pad helped significantly reduce my blemishes and soothe the irritated areas. I'm very, very satisfied with the effectiveness.
