It flows slowly and feels weighty. There's less of a watery sensation. User experience: Initially, when you massage it in, the dense texture feels a bit heavy and stuffy. However, once you add water and start emulsifying, it becomes light and smoothly removes impurities and makeup. After rinsing with water, there's no greasy film typical of oil cleansers that can feel uncomfortable! Despite the initial impression and texture, it rinses off well with water. I usually wash my hair first before cleansing my face, but on days I use an oil cleanser, I go in this order: oil cleansing -> shampoo -> foam cleansing. The issue was that oil cleansers often made my skin feel stuffy, so I'd unconsciously jump straight to foam cleansing before washing my hair, which was inconvenient. Surprisingly, with this product, I didn't feel the urge to wash it off quickly at all. I thought all oil cleansers were uncomfortable, but apparently not this one! Cleansing effectiveness: To test its cleansing power, I used Muud Skinny Curling Mascara, Clio Sharpsicle, Luna Pencil Concealer, and a water tint on the back of my hand. Except for long-lasting mascaras and staining water tints, everything came off quickly without vigorous rubbing. I prioritize skin makeup over color cosmetics, so I use multiple base products and apply sunscreen almost daily. This means I need to double cleanse every day, and this product easily removes base makeup with just a small amount, which I really appreciate. Scent: There's a slight oily smell, but that's to be expected from an oil, right? It's not overly bothersome. I think the biggest advantage is the lack of that stuffy feeling after use!
ConsWhile I didn't experience any irritation, itching, or blemishes after use, my mom said her eye area became red after using this product. I think it's because her eye area skin is super sensitive. I did additional tests to see if mascara-type products are just hard to remove in general, and even products that usually come off easily didn't completely wash away. Considering that 1) I applied more on the back of my hand than I would on my eyes, and 2) I rubbed harder on my hand than I would on my face, I think it might be less irritating to use an additional lip and eye makeup remover when using this product. + I also tested it on eye glitter, and some residue remained. While it's disappointing that it doesn't easily remove mascara, it's still a product with an excellent user experience. I'd recommend it to those who don't wear heavy makeup daily and dislike the typical stuffy feeling of oil cleansers.
