      Pros

The shampoo bar reminds me of the sea with its teal color, and it doesn't stain my hair or skin, which is great. However, my conditioner bar, which used to be yellow, has now turned green. Like other Lush shampoo bars, it has a moderately firm and slightly soft texture. I'd say the texture is somewhere between Ethique and Tone28. The outer surface is soft, so it doesn't drain water easily, so a soap dish is a must. It lathers up nicely and provides a refreshing feeling, making it great for summer use. The lather is also quite good, which I'll explain later. This product meets five out of the six criteria I consider important when evaluating cosmetics. ๐ŸŒฑ Cruelty-free (the product is not tested on animals) ๐ŸŒฑ Vegan ๐ŸŒฑ Palm oil-free โ—๏ธ Free of harmful chemicals ๐ŸŒฑ Ethically produced ๐ŸŒฑ Zero-waste packaging Although it still contains surfactants, I'm pleased to see Lush's efforts to introduce better ingredients.

      Cons

Even when I bought it, the shampoo bar had a lot of coarse salt piled on top. This part was inconvenient to use, but after about a week of use, the granules would all fall off and only the shampoo bar itself would remain. If that's the case, why did they put it on in the first place? Fortunately, it seems much more convenient to use since the renewal. And while searching the ingredients, I found an interesting point - Lush changed their surfactant ingredients as of May last year. I've always been a bit dissatisfied with the surfactants (sodium lauryl sulfate - a chemical component that creates rich lather, but is not good for the skin and the environment) in Lush products, so I was pleasantly surprised to hear they changed it. I did a bit more research. Basically, they replaced sodium lauryl sulfate (which uses palm oil) with sodium coco sulfate (which uses coconut oil). The advantage is that palm oil cultivation destroys wildlife habitats and increases carbon emissions, so for a cosmetics company to not use palm oil is significant. I hope Lush keeps this promise going forward. The downside is that even though coconut oil is better than palm oil, over half of the components in coconut oil are still lauric fatty acids, so there may not be a significant difference in terms of what touches the skin. There are claims that the different molecular structure is better for absorption and the environment, but no noticeable differences yet.

      Pros

The shape with salt grains embedded was appealing, and I heard it had excellent volume, so I decided to try it out since my hair is thin and fine, hoping to get some volume. Compared to the Sog-eun-peurot, it has a slightly more squeaky clean feeling. Interestingly, right after washing and drying my hair, it has a slightly puffed-up feel, as if there's an air layer, and I think this effect lasts longer the shorter the hair length. As I have long hair, I didn't really notice it lasting that long for me.

      Cons

I think the inconvenient part of using a shampoo bar is a common complaint. Also, the Lush shampoo bars seem to have a lot of colorants, as I've noticed the color seeping into the soap dish over time. Now I put the bar in a cotton mesh bag and hang it on the shower caddy to use it.

      Tip

I put the shampoo bar in the cotton mesh bag and use it that way. Instead of rubbing the bar directly on my hair, I take the bar out of the mesh bag, lather it up, and then put it back in the bag for storage. This way, the bar has minimal contact with water, so it dries faster and lasts longer.
