After your base makeup and during your cushion/foundation step, apply a generous amount of lip balm. Once you're done with concealer and powder, wipe off the lip balm while gently exfoliating. When you're finishing up your full face and ready for lips, take out your lip product and apply just a tiny bit to your lower lip (not the upper). After 30 seconds, wipe it off and reapply a small amount, pressing it into the center of your lower lip. Wait 15 seconds, press your lips together, and use your finger to blend the edges of your upper lip. This creates a natural gradient effect!

The downside is... it's not quite oily enough. Usually, glossy products have an oiliness that presses down on lip dead skin cells, making lips look plump and smooth overall. While this product's lightness could be seen as a plus, it doesn't smooth out the dead skin cells. So the color gets caught between them, if that makes sense? When you apply the tint and press your lips together, it all clumps up and doesn't look pretty. Right after hastily applying it, it's like... 'What's wrong with their lips? It's all patchy.' It's really bothersome. Of course, when doing a full face, if you prep with lip balm to smooth out dead skin cells, apply a thin coat, wait for it to stain, wipe it off, and then reapply focusing on the inner lips, it looks beautiful. But who has time for that every time you eat and need to reapply? That's the real disappointment.

As a winter cool light tone, I was torn between this product and the cherry shade. I already had a similar color to cherry, and since apple was recommended for spring deep undertone, I was worried it might not suit me. So I went to Olive Young to test them all on the back of my hand. I was drawn to the red color that could be applied on its own, so I picked Apple! The verdict? It suits me well! I usually prefer glossy lips, always layering gloss over matte lipsticks or tints. But this product doesn't need an extra gloss - it works great on its own! The stain lasts long too. Even when it fades, it mostly disappears from the edges while staying put on the inner lips.

I mix and shake it well before using. Since the color is intense, I only apply a small amount
