01 Salmon: True to its nickname of 'transparent concealer', this should be seen as a base that naturally evens skin tone. Don't expect it to be a high-coverage corrector! The color is a bit deeper than you might think, which works well for brightening dark under-eye circles. It seems to naturally neutralize redness around the nose, making it versatile for various uses. Since it's an eye primer, don't expect concealer-like coverage. Focus on how it evens out the complexion. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinApr 17, 2024
It really doesn't settle into wrinkles! I have oily skin but dry under-eyes with severe dark circles, and every concealer I've tried felt heavy. This one, however, goes on so smoothly. For my shade 22 skin, it looks incredibly natural, but since it's sheer, it should work well for other complexions too. Mixing it with Luna's Conceal-It Pot (salmon shade) is absolute bliss. I genuinely, wholeheartedly recommend this. I'm thinking of buying the purple one as well. When used alone, the coverage is not great... almost non-existent. If you have severe dark circles and find other concealers too dry or cakey, this might work well. It's also good for covering light discoloration above the eyes. I wouldn't recommend applying it with fingers; using a puff that absorbs less product works best. This is my holy grail product. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMar 9, 2024
I used to cover my dark circles with a pot-type concealer, but I found that I needed to use a concealer brush, and the matte texture of the pot formula could lead to creasing under the eyes if not applied carefully. However, after trying the VDL Expert Color Under Eye Primer, I've been using it frequently as my go-to dark circle concealer! Its moisturizing formula allows me to cover my dark circles thinly and lightly without any creasing around the eyes. This concealer is perfect for the dry under-eye area that's prone to makeup separation. It feels as hydrating as applying an eyelash serum to the eye area. I use shade 01 Salmon, which I'd describe as a beige with a hint of orange. It brightens the dark under-eye area and can even be used like a foundation when spread over a larger area, making it a versatile color choice. In summary, what I love most about this product is how it moisturizes while providing thin, transparent coverage for dark circles! I didn't really find any downsides. If I had to nitpick, I'd say that using it with a puff can enhance its coverage.
