  Pros

  It deeply moisturizes my mom's extremely dry skin, leaving no trace of winter dryness. Being an emulsion, it applies smoothly and absorbs well without any stickiness! It doesn't cause pilling during makeup application either. I can see why it's so popular.

  Cons

  While my mom absolutely loves it, when I use it, my skin completely breaks out. Not just my face, but even my hands get red where I've applied the emulsion. I've developed an allergic reaction that's incredibly itchy, my skin gets bumpy like folliculitis, and my sebum production increases dramatically. Looking at previous reviews, I see many people with similar symptoms to mine. It really proves that skincare is different for everyone. As a side note, you know how they say ceramides and panthenol are good for repairing the skin barrier? Well, neither of those ingredients work for me. If you're wondering 'Will ceramides work well for me?' this Atobarrier cream might be a good test! Just be careful if you have sensitive skin - do a patch test for a few days first! In my case, I didn't have an immediate reaction, but problems arose after using it for a few days.

  I didn't realize it before, but looking at the ingredient list, I noticed it contains pore-clogging ingredients. No wonder I feel itchy, like blemishes are about to appear, when I apply too much. It's more expensive compared to other emulsions. It's too light for winter use, so I'll need to switch to something else during colder months.
